I’m critical because I care and want them to be a top half of the sun belt caliber program. We’ve played sub .500 ball 4 out of 5 years under this staff.
We burned through 5 pitchers in a midweek game. Kermit wanted to win. We just don’t have the pitching talent to hang any most P5 bats.

I don’t think that the pitching staff for a mid major (much less a good varsity high school) team should have a stat line that includes 8 walks, 3 wild pitches and 3 hit by pitch. I’ve been around the game a long time and I’ve seen decent JV baseball games with better pitching control than that.

Bingo. Those stats are what put us in 1 out bases loaded situations. In just the games I've paid close attention to this year I remember at least 3 bases loaded situations. Some we got out of...some we paid for (like last night against South Carolina).

Good crowd, not packed but vocal. Sat with some Wilmington fans. They loved our stadium.

Game 1 Friday at 3pm, 4-2 win
Game 2 Saturday at 1pm
Game 3 Sunday at noon
They were 32-22 in 2021. So a good baseball program. Let’s go lock up the series win!!

Down 11-4 going into the 8th, and I go make a salad and start the grill. I figured, it's over. Put a couple rib eyes on the grill, come in and check the score. App's win, maybe I should just stay busy. When I do good things happen.

College baseball is crazy this way. With that said, it shows me the team never quit..shows character.

Apps are going to need another rally. Ellington with an unbelievably bad throwing error to allow Wilmington to score runs 3 and 4. UNCW leads 5-3 in the top of the eighth.
