Just like that, App back in it! 7-6 in top 7th inning

Dobson triples home head and then gets home on a throwing error

App wanted a double header today. And one game tomorrow. Which logic would think they'd adjust.

Arkansas wasn't willing to work with us
I'm pretty sure that in the regular season the home team has the final call ---
I said nothing about who made the "final decision".

I said we wanted to play two today and one tomorrow. So we don't travel all day and show up an hour before game.

Arkansas should have been able to accommodate that, if they had wanted to work with us. They didn't want to work with us.
Wasn't responding directly to you - just making a general statement --- :)
I took it as a response to me since you "quoted me".

No harm done

Coming off of major hip surgery. It'll be a good while before he's 100%. He's not comfortable right now, probably in pain

Man i thought you guys were gonna come back and steal that one for sure. Played much better with an actual night of rest and a full team haha

Tomorrow should be another close one. You'll likely score a lot with us starting a true freshman pitcher, interested to see how it goes

We'll see. Our starter today was our Saturday guy last year and he struggled mightily. Reports say he's much improved going into this season, but it remains to be seen. Hopefully our bats can continue the momentum they had going yesterday!
Good luck to your boys!

Springs walks the leadoff hitter. what a surprise. still looks like he can't throw strikes

Edit: 2 out double puts Arkansas up 1-0

Pierson leads off the 2nd with a HR! 1-1 game

Gonzalez walk followed by Leach reaching on error and Bauk bunt singles loads the bases. Head squeeze bunt scores go ahead run

App up 2-1 going to bottom of 2

Sac fly make it 3-2 after 2 innings.

Arkansas scored 2 runs that inning WITHOUT a single hit...

Edit: and just like, Dobson homers to begin the 3rd. tie game at 3-3

I am all for giving guy chances but I cannot live with a guy walking/hitting 5 guys in 2 innings. It just is not acceptable for a kid in his Junior year. We are fortunate to only be down 3-2.

It is early and against top notch competition but so far pitching is not our strong suit. The bats seem to be coming around though.

i give Nunn a pass considering the circumstances of Friday and Moore pitched farely well. Thurber made 1 mistake yesterday, but shut them down afterward and Whaley looked good too

this isn't a 1 time thing for him though. he did the same thing last season and thats why he lost his starting job and was sent to the bullpen. it's not first outing jitters

No, I have watched him pitch for 2+ years now. He rarely is ahead in the count and walks a lot of guys. I understand a freshman even sophomore. Just throw strikes it is as simple as that. He should not be hitting/walking 6 guys in an outing. They have one hit for 3 runs.

I am proud of him for getting these last 6 outs and holding it down. Just stating a fact that those numbers cannot happen.
