Sounds like 5 of the hits last week were infield bunts and chopper singles that didn’t leave the infield, along with some bad defense. Have to battle and can’t give up big numbers. Keep the damage to a minimum.

Their squaring him up now a little. Offense going to need to hang a big number it seems.
We’re pounding the zone more but getting peppered a bit.

Every once in a while we get a scouting report that recommends we swing early in the count. That appears to be the case today. Some analytics guru will say otherwise but I can’t think of any good reasons why working deep into the count isn’t a better strategy.

1-2 count and catchers interference. Just can’t do those things that keeps an inning alive for the opposing team.

Is this ump extremely bad or is it the camera angle?
