#29 toughest schedule in nation and we are 9-10 with a chance to be at .500
Tomorrow.... currently #53 in RPI before today's W is factored in.

Re: @ Louisiana
We didn't almost anything today! What an offensive explosion we had at the plate, AND it was against quality pitching. Maybe they're improving with the bats? No matter what it is a huge win for the team.WataugaMan wrote:Against better competition, you're correct, we are not good at the plate. Another goose egg is produced. On another note, being on the road constantly will wear ya down after awhile, with only one home game thus far I'd say the team has done pretty well. Anyway, it sure would be nice to take at least one game this weekend, only way to do that is to score. Almost only counts in horseshoes.JTApps1 wrote:Final is 3-0. Solid pitching and defense again, but we can only manage 4 hits. Of course that was likely the best starter in the conference, but were just not good at the plate.

Re: @ Louisiana
Mostly the same roster. Our starting third basemen is a true Freshman that Kermit brought in.Saint3333 wrote:How many contributors are new on the team this year compared to last?

Re: @ Louisiana
This is basically the same roster with very few late adds from last year, that's the crazy thing. With mostly the same roster, rotation is completely different, the lineup is different and new players are contributing. Hell, five-foot-nothing Jason Curtis hit a home run today!
9-10 record with this schedule is a small miracle.

Maybe I pissed them off again, with the "almost only counts in horseshoes" comment.JTApps1 wrote:We didn't almost anything today! Re: @ Louisiana
SOS is currently sitting at 29 and won't get much easier until we play ULAR. Very impressive what Kermit has done so far.

Nice job yesterday. The FREE UL video feed with their (very good) announcer is awesome. BTW, they had 5005 in attendance yesterday---which is near their AVERAGE...

Speaks to coaching. Getting the up the middle defense fixed and the addition of Grubbs (kid can hit!) have had early impacts.T-Dog wrote:This is basically the same roster with very few late adds from last year, that's the crazy thing.
