Going out with a whimper, but it's been a great run for them and for the Conference.

Rough finish.
But how many teams can say they won a game in Omaha?
Very impressive and puts more eyes on the conference.

Evidently, this guy throws within the 17 inches of the width of home plate on a consistent basis..

Buy College baseball stock now.
Time to really start funding the program.
(FWIW, I don’t like this for kids good enough to go from HS to Pro’s)

Cost cutting measure by MLB. Gotta find a way to reduce the bust rate. Making everyone go through 2 years of college ball will weed a few of them out. Plus, shifts the burden of paying 18-19 year old talent off their books and onto the schools.

Wonder what this means for the International Draft, if anything… Seems just putting Americans at a disadvantage. 2-3 potential less years if development in a professional organization if good enough to be drafted out of HS.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
There used to be a large difference in the development in the minors and college, the minors were far superior. That is not the case anymore, many in MLB feel D1 college development is at least on par with low minors, with the better leagues (SEC, ACC, Big 12) being closer to high AA and AAA. So a high school stud that could have been drafted will still get good development because he will end up at a top school. I see this as a win win for both college baseball and MLB.

I’m sure enjoying this game.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Remember Oklahoma beating us in two regional elimination games . Well , I guess this is some kind of redemption.
