Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Game 3 - starts out with the catcher getting engaged it would seem.
The opening pitch was thrown out by his now fiance and then he proposed. Either that or one really quick courtship just took place.

Apps win 6-5 with a bases loaded walk off double by Zupcic in the 9th. They are the 5th seed and will play Ga. Sou Wednesday am for the first game in the tourney.

That win turned out to be the difference between 5th and 8th place. 5th place means we get a bye into the double-elimination tournament. 8th-place Furman now has to play UNCG on Tuesday in an eliminator for the right to play top-seeded WCU on Wednesday.
Opening game is the 4/5 game versus Georgia Southern, 10 am from Riley Park in Chuck Town.

The young lady was Jamie Medford, in her 4th year as concession manager, and a very successful athlete from McDowell High. Her boyfriend is not a player just dressed as a catcher so he could be disguised. After the first pitch from her he started toward the mound, dropped to a knee and proposed.

The ending to the game was just awesome. Highlight of this App sports season for me. Also the second year in a row we end the home schedule walking off a purple team.
