We needed that start. Dook has struggled with Maine this weekend, so hopefully we can test them and finally take them down on Tuesday

I believe there are two of them (brothers?). During player introductions yesterday, both last names were Johnson. Britt’s kids maybe?

Coach Johnson’s 8 year old twins! Looks like they’re having a great time!
I remember Luke Kuechly doing their gender reveal. Cool story - Google it

Maybe they believe in the value of preseason S&C consisting of daily workouts in 15” of snow in near-zero conditions?Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 9:40 amSHOULD take 2/3 this weekend. Either way it's the 1st weekend - just come out without injuries and keep the ERA near 5
They are from Buffalo - if they got outside more than 3 times to practice I'd be surprised.
It works for the Russian Spetnaz, maybe it’s good for baseball players.

I see snow showers before noon on Sunday with 15 to 20 mph winds - high of 40. Wonder if it will be moved closer to Charlotte since SIU plays Queens as well this weekend

Wish tomorrow’s game had a later 1st pitch. Would love to take my son. 4pm makes it very difficult.

Wish we were playing them in March or April. Would be 6pm start if so.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Took my junior Mountaineers to the double header on Sunday and we had a great time. One is interesting in baseball and the other is warming up to it. I plan to take them to a game or two in Boone. I’ve always paid far more attention to football so if anyone has any game day tips for me, that would be great.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
If you want to see high-level competition, I’d recommend any game of the Coastal series (March 13-15). Seats might get a bit scarce, though. One of the Chants’ starters (Flukey) will be a first-round draftee. Food options? If you’ve got money to spend and you hit on the right day, lobster dogs are darn-near worth their $20 price.InFor6More wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 8:36 pmTook my junior Mountaineers to the double header on Sunday and we had a great time.
