Lost 8-4. The seven-run third did us in.

If we stop the bleeding in the 3rd, we win the game. Way to fight boys, kinda climbed back in it and had ducks on the pond at the end. Go sweep JMU! And sell out the Beav!

I find the predicted RPI sheet pretty interesting.
Has us finishing 26-27 and losing like 8 in a row but sweeping USM at home.
Warren Nolan is drunk.

JMU is a must sweep.

He's probably right give or take 2 or 3 games either way. I can see them a couple games over .500 and I can also see them a few below as well. All depends on pitching

The saving grave is that both Marshall and JMU hit well below the Mendoza line. (If your old enough you know the reference)

0-9 vs. the quad 1 and 2 teams. We play JMU then 8 games vs. teams 60 or higher in RPI. It will be tough to have a winning record down the stretch.

JMU, Georgia State and So Alabama are probably must win series.
Taking 1/2 from USM at home would be great, and 1 away Coastal would be nice. Winning one of those series would be icing on the cake.

But it all get's started tomorrow in Boone at the Beav. Beat JmWho!

Sad thing is most of those are against common level opponents. We won those games last year.
ETSU, HPU, Western, Charlotte and 3 against Southern. Didn't win a single one of those this year.

Just reviewing Nolan’s predictions for us and he has us taking 2/3 from JMU, beating ETSU, losing to Wake Forest, taking 2/3 from USM, losing all three to CC, 2/3 from SOAL and 2/3 from GAST…..had a finishing like 28-24 and 16-14…. which will not be easy. .. but when I went back to it .. it had changed to losing overall record and losing conference record. Obviously a software glitch. Even in the first scenario, taking 2/3 from USM is possible but hard to do…and the way we’ve been playing the series going 2/3 from GAST and JMU are not a given. It’s all in front of us. Just take one game at a time. Beat the Dukes.

Winning a conference tournament requires three good pitchers. We're going to knock a favorite into the losers bracket and finish 3-2 or 2-2 in the SBC tournament depending if we finish 6th or higher in the regular season.

The second we lost Steensma made the conf. tourney that much harder. We would be in good shape with Steensma, Cross, Wilson...whew (not sure any of us expected Cross/Wilson to be this good this year). Welch, Harris, Clark potential options as well. Not having Lewis has forced Fisher/Best to see a ton of work. We've definitely been crushed with injuries all over...the next 2 weeks will be very telling.
All starts at home tonight in an APPsolutelty must win/sweep series against a horrible 12-24 JMwho.

gAmedAy. No reason why all 3 games shouldn't hit 1,000 attendance mark. A lot of fan promotions this weekend too.
Especially tomorrow/Saturday with mid 70s weather.

JMu is at the bottom of the standings. We need to sweep. We can not lose the series. To have any chance of making a run in Montgomery a top six finish is almost a must. Things get tougher down the road. Throw strikes. Score runs.
