2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Is it too early to start 2025 baseball thread?
Wofford scrimmage in Boone October 5th.
ECU scrimmage in Boone October 12th.
That is awesome but an absolute bummer football is away those weekends.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Baseball team isn't on campus at the moment. I would say we could play away, but we haven't been together as a group for a week and we might not be together for a while longer.
I did see about 6-7 Mountaineers practicing with Charlotte Christian Varsity team this week so at least they are getting some reps off the mountain.
Anyone have any idea how the baseball stadium held up? Hoping that batters eye is in tact still.

Southern Miss released their baseball schedule today. Hopefully ours is out soon and that we travel to a fun and major P5.

It's never too early to talk about App Baseball! It seems like we're slow in the beginning of each season but get stronger as the weather warms up. I'd love to see App get off to a faster start this year.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Met some of the team tailgating this past weekend. All of them seemed amped for the season and all seemed very tight knit. I could feel the brotherhood.
Gillin had them passing out free ice cream snickers to fans....
A few of them mentioned that we're absolutely stacked at catcher (Church, Smiley and incoming Fr- Weinstein). I've met Weinstein's hitting coach and he raves about him as well, Need to figure out how to get them all in the lineup.
Correa and Kam will be awesome to watch battle at 1st or DH.
They all spoke highly of everyone, mentioned Banks being a stud and will be missed but watch out for his buddy, our Ole Miss transfer Kramer might be legit!
Sounds like we are healthy as well. Xuereb is back, Steensma is feeling good.
Doesn't sound like a big P5 away trip is in the cards but we will see when the schedule comes out. They didn't know of anything when I posed that question.
3 more months....ugh.

Anyone making it to Kannapolis for the games Saturday? Get to see what we have for 14 innings. Tough scheduling that we have home football too. But a good option if you can’t make it up the mountain.

If we weren’t down in Dirty Myrtle for a much-needed vacay, I would’ve loved to be there.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 2:36 pmhttps://x.com/appbaseball/status/185206 ... 3hJ5cku44g

Hats off to the coaches and schools for making this happen; I hope fans pack the stands to support the kids and raise lots of $$$ for the schools’ recovery funds.
