This is our second player to win Sun Belt Player of the Week honors, and in consecutive weeks. Not sure how long it has been since we have done that, if ever. Looking at the list, it is 1 from Troy, 2 from Texas State, 2 from Coastal, that is some good company to be keeping in the world of college baseball.

Kermit's success in the portal for bats has been outstanding the past few years. I wish we had an NIL deal for Xander Hamilton to return. Makes you think we would be close to a postseason team if we had him this year.

I am still hoping we are a post season team this year, but it would have been sweet if we still had Hamilton on the mound.

What I should have said was “shoe in” for postseason with Hamilton.
Still like our chances this year if we can get Boyd back to normal and the bullpen figured out.

Banks Tolley and CJ Boyd were just ranked the 53rd and 54th best outfielders in the nation so far this season. If those 2 were in the SEC doing what they are for us, they’d be top 10.
