It is evident why they weren’t seeing innings at ECU. Dial it in a little and we can compete. Fridays are going to have to be our days. Saturdays and Sundays will be tough

Base on balls, wild pitches and HBP. Not sustainable to win baseball games.

One bright part of the game today was the recognition of the 1973 baseball team on their 50 th anniversary. After the transition from NAIA baseball of which Coach Dr. Frank Lovrich took 2 App baseball teams (1969 & 1971) to the World Series, his 1973 team won Apps first ever So Con Championship. That team advanced to the NCAA regional in Starksdale, Ms. They came within a game of advancing to the Collage World Series after only one year at the Division 1 Level.

I had Dr. Frank for a sociology class in Smith-Wright Hall. That was my senior year at App and remember that team well. Mike Ramsey the shortstop on that team would go on to play for the St.Louis Cardinals.

We lost to NC State in the first game of the regional. Game back to beat South Alabama and got revenge on State before losing to Miami.

Weather has not been nice to us. Tuesday game v WVU moved to App State Hickory.

That’s 3 or 4 home games that have already been moved or cancelled this year.

Wonder if there's money in the budget to build a dome? :(

I wonder if in the history of App baseball have we ever been able to legitimately play home games in decent weather prior to about mid March.

Backs when I was in school, you had the added element of the field flooding after a rain.

It gets serious when we start Conference play.Do or die for this staff if indeed it is the final year on the contract.

A LOT of “home” games were played in Granite Falls so this all sounds familiar.

Yea, should have put 3, instead of 11. You are correct. Thank you for pointing that out.
