With the incoming group Kermit has recruited (both freshmen and transfers) and the super seniors returning, I feel VERY good about App having a winning record this spring. I'm no authority on these things, but I've never seen a group this impressive coming in at App.
Agreed.

Our biggest problem is the conference in which we play. These guys play big boy baseball. Plus, our out-of-conference schedule isn’t quite as tough as last year but still pretty stout.
No doubt that the Belt plays some very good college baseball, but we've been able to hang close with most of them. We haven't ever had the bullpen to put games away though. With all the pitchers in this class, I'm really hoping that isn't still an issue. We will see. I don't think we win the conference, but I think Kermit has taken the right steps.

I'm really not sure he's on the hot seat. He took over a program that was in terrible shape. I do think that less than 50% would be disappointing this Spring.

I am not certain what the expectations of those in position to establish them are as to baseball.I suspect this year will reveal the answer.

This is an area where a little patience can go a long way.

Looking at the schedule I would a winning record in non conference play and .500 in conference play would be a great season.

Are they expanding the SBC tournament? I know it used to be 10 teams.

I think getting to the 2nd rd would be icing on the cake.

Baseball is the Sunbelt's strength relative to the rest of the D1 conferences. That or anything above it would be a strong showing although lower seeded teams winning a few games in the tournament is not unusul.Could be worth the trip.

Love it. Doubt us.

Man, sun belt baseball might beat some p5 conferences. What a loaded conference.

I think this is the last year on KS contract , could be wrong. If so we will find out post season I suppose what DG and others expectations are for baseball.A .500 winning percentage gets him an extension I would think .We play something like 48 games plus the tournament , anyone care to make a prediction?

Good lord if baseball goes .500 that kind of temporarily cements App sports as a .500 school. Brutal

If we moved our football program to the Big 10 or our basketball program to the SEC, would we be happy if those programs had a .500 record?

Don't forget making that move without giving them a competitive budget and having bottom three facilities.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Just take a look at the standings for several of the big conferences. Lots of traditional big names sucking hind tit In basketball and a few didn't light it up in football either. LSU for one

I am hard pressed to come up with any acceptance where being on a tit, hind or otherwise, is bad thing.

It is a tit. 'Nough said.

Not sure I’ve been as ready for opening day since 2012.

I like the content on social media, #TIGMA on the practice hats. App goes +.500 overall this year if the arms stay healthy.

Keep an 👀 on Gillespie and St. Laurent this year, lineup returns some pop
