BYU isn't G5. USF and SD State too low, USA too high. Not sure WKU is quite that good this year, but I guess they get the benefit of last year's run. Overall, not bad.

Is this a good time to mention I'll be writing this season's first G5 Top Ten next week?

Where exactly did the points come from? Did the guy generate a bunch of different ballots? Lol

They aren't P5 either hence the mid-major designation

He posted them on many different conference message boards as well as on Reddit to give individuals the opportunity to vote. A Southern fan under the name TrueBlue on the main Sun Belt message board. While there isn't a control in place to keep people from voting multiple times, it is truly representative of peoples opinions from all over the US.

Based on that logic, should Notre Dame be on the list? Really don't think either team belongs on a G5 list. They are FBS Independents. The G5 refers specifically to the "Group of 5" conferences which are not "Power" conferences (previously non-BCS).

Their football is ACC.

Neither BYU nor Notre Dame is eligible for the G5 access bowl bid, which is why they aren't normally included in G5 rankings like this.

They are football independents. They have an agreement to play five ACC schools per year, but Notre Dame football is not a member of the ACC.
