Entrance song
Have we nailed down an entrance song? Petty maybe but we need a song that only we do...only...I've herd Kashmir by zep...back in black...acdc...but do we have something we can be known for? Image is everything and we need to lay the hammer at the rock! Thoughts?

Re: Entrance song
I believe we had "The Outsiders" by Eric Chuch long before ESPN picked it up and made it a staple for all of their college football broadcasts.
Too bad our fanbase complained so much we stopped playing it.

I must say the end part of blXk sabbath war pigs is pretty rockin...but we need acdc...loud and proud....but I'd love to put a musical montage together! Energy always needs to be 11 on a volume level of 10... Or at least so says spinal tap

On the same subject, did they finally tweak the speakers so that they don't crackle when volume goes up ?

Enter sandman is VT. We need a mash of a rock song with a beat for base. I do like the intro to hells bells but it doesn't pick up as much as it needs to. And please no f'n country even if the dude went to app.

A comment like this leads me to believe you haven't even listened to Eric's music. Especially "The Outsiders". It isn't traditional county (what really in today's world) and definitely not 'Bro Country. If anything it is more Rock. Everyone is entitled to their own opinon. Personally, I think the buildup at the start of the song and lyrics fit.boonetown1 wrote:Enter sandman is VT. We need a mash of a rock song with a beat for base. The Outsiders is great. Lets add it to our pre game. The first time we use it Eric should do it live!

Re: Entrance song
Ok. My last plug for "The Outsiders" what is not to like about the Lyrics and our underdog status as a new to FBS team receiving some national recognition:
They’re the in crowd, we’re the other ones
It’s a different kind of cloth that we’re cut from
We let our colors show, where the numbers ain’t
We’re the paint where there ain’t supposed to be paint
That’s who we are
That’s how we roll
The Outsiders, The Outsiders
....
We’re the bad news
We’re the young guns
We’re the ones that they told you to run from
Yeah, the player’s gonna play, and a haters gonna hate
And a regulators born to regulate
When it hits the fan, and it all goes down
And the gloves come off
You’re gonna find out just
Who we are
We do our talking, walk that walk
Wide open rocking
That’s how we roll
Our backs to the wall
A band of brothers
Together, alone, the outsiders
They’re the in crowd, we’re the other ones
It’s a different kind of cloth that we’re cut from
We let our colors show, where the numbers ain’t
We’re the paint where there ain’t supposed to be paint
That’s who we are
That’s how we roll
The Outsiders, The Outsiders

Re: Entrance song
I am actually very familiar with his songs and believe it has its place (actually saw him multiple times in concert before he was big aka before the sinners like me album). I just think rock and/or something with a beat provides much more hype to a MUCH wider demographic.AppDawg wrote:A comment like this leads me to believe you haven't even listened to Eric's music. Re: Entrance song
I think we can play a couple of lead in songs. Start with a verse from this one to build momentum, play a verse of some AC/DC type music, then welcome to the ROCK!

Re: Entrance song
On the mention or motion of "The Outsiders" by Eric Church (great App State alum), I second, third, slam the gavel on The Rock and declare this is the ULTIMATE entrance song!
I like some of the others mentioned and especially don't want to part with some of the AC DCs but we can employ those at different times of game to keep those.......but player entrance gotta be The Outsiders.....the lyrics for us.....when first bought the album I thought maybe Eric wrote for us..........BESIDES PEOPLE, ERIC IS ONE OF OUR OWN!!!! KICK ASS!

Listened to the first part as well. Pretty rocking tune. Would sound pretty good - on a quality sound system!GOAPPS37 wrote:Just listened to it! That has my vote for sure!
