Normally, in my world, ULL stand for "Upper Level Low". In the football world, it means The University of Louisiana Lafayette.... I prefer my view on this one!
To quote Cam Newton, "Anyhoo.... "
Not the best weather, not the worst weather for the game. Mercifully it won't be the coldest weather that we often see at 3,333 feet this time of year. Bit of a "wedge" in play so count on plenty of clouds, a rare peek of sunshine and temps generally in the mid 50s for the game. The "wedge" also means that chance for periods of light rain and drizzle may be in the offing.
This would be a great game to bring some Mountaineer "newbies" out for a game. Sounds like good deal on tickets are being had, so why the heck not. Visiting stragglers that haven't left for home, pack them in and bring them along!
7 AM - Mid 40s - Cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
10 AM - Lower 50s - Cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
NOON - Lower 50s - Mostly cloudy to cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
KICKOFF - Mid 50s - Mostly cloudy to cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
1/2 Time - Mid 50s - Mostly Cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
END OF GAME - Lower 50s - Mostly Cloudy - Chance for rain & drizzle
It's been a pleasure to serve the MBB Community for another year of game day weather forecasting. I've been humbled by the number of folks who have come to rely on my efforts for their game day planning needs, for travel up and down the mountain. I'd look for our weather team to become a regular source on cable, up that way, once the Charter merger closes at some point next year. We'll see how, if, and, or when all that happens. Very far above my pay grade those decisions. Weather Mongo just pawn in game of life!
I'll forecast for the "bowl", once the bid is offered and accepted. I've got to say, it's been a hell of a great year to be a MOUNTAINEER!
GO MOUNTAINEERS!
