Reality in Stink World

GSU threw that stinky water on our field. Yes I know I don't play but the field belongs to all of us.
Ellison still talking trash even after he and his stink brothers have been beaten soundly.
Score could have been 38-13, class act on ASU's coaching staff. I would have let Upshaw run it in they were tired and couldn't stop any thing at that point.
GSU will get hammered in Athens in about three weeks.
GSU cant pass the ball.
They looked out of shape.
They are one dimensional and yes good defenses will crowd the box and make GSU do some thing creative like throw the ball which right now you cant do.
Lost in Boone AGAIN, and remember you are 12-3 in Boone as of last night. So be very cautious when you post on your forums you have no worries playing in the mountains.
And no you are not better than ASU across the board when you analyze the depth chart.
The rivalry continues, but when that stink coach leaves you will have very few JUCO's left to prop up Stink world. ;)

See everyone next week....

I like the spirit. ;)

Reality is they're still probably going to go 9-3, and a share of the conference title is still on the table. And they don't rely on Jucos as much as people think.

As long as they can come to grips with the fact that they're still chasing App State, they've got a lot to be happy about.

A class act by our coaching staff last night by taking a knee at the GS 2 yard line. Something GS and their fans know nothing about...If I was Ellison or any of their players or fans, I would accept the fact that my team had just gotten beaten soundly by a better team and move forward...Yes, it is GREAT to be a MOUNTAINEER and AWESOME to be at the top of the Sunbelt Conference and bowl eligible in our first full year of eligibility. GO APPS!!!

Wish we would have punched in that last TD. I predicted 38-17 so I would have been so close. Can't believe Ellison talked trash after a garbage time TD. Guess you can do that when you know you won't personally be coming back to the Rock for another beat down.

EastHallApp you are correct however they have 22 transfers or JUCOS. They are not developing players like ASU's coaching staff is. My point is they will suffer when the Stink coach leaves. I should of just said it that way.

Ellison is a pile of trash and belongs with those scum at Georgia Southern. He got his butt handed to him and still talked junk. Screw him.

Ellison is a punk a** and I too saw him jawing after the long run he had in the second half that got called back for a holding penalty and the garbage TD. Guys like that I have no respect for.

I just hate that Stink is so bad. Would have helped us if they had made last night a better game. Detractors will say that, other than Clemson, we have not played anybody worth a crap. Doesn't help with the perception of the Sunbelt. GSU must have played some really bad defenses to be able to roll up 400 yards per game with that pathetic excuse of a passing offense. Good lord once we loaded the box they were done.

Georgia Southern redshirt seniors will leave with a record of 1-4 against us.

Also, at least ten years will pass between them beating us at the Rock.

We are a well coached, and solidly developed team. It was evident last night. We stayed the course, made the adjustments and just flat out put it to them. I am pretty darn impressed.

I like where we are, where these players have their heads, and how the coaching staff is focusing on one game at a time. The GASO game was more of a test in my mind than ULM.

Here's hoping we run the board, and get a good bowl not in Alabama! I just don't equate a good bowl experiences for players, coaches (and their families), and fans by "bowling" in Bama... just saying...

Either way... I couldn't be more PROUD TO BE A MOUNTAINEER! Man... just love what we have going on!

I think a few on this board could learn a lesson in "winning with class". To go after college kids you've never met, calling them "scum" just because they play for our rival is a truly idiotic thing to say.

Yeah I laughed at the trash talk too, but I can't get behind that kind of name-calling.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure I remember Southern taking a knee when they could have gone for one more TD against us last year.

That was Upshaw.

We seem to be reacting to the win like some might assume the Southern fans would react. It is a rivalry, not a war. I don't get the notion that Ellison gets ripped for "trash" talking but its ok for our fans to act they accomplished something to the degree that they can talk trash. Win with class if you truly believe that there is a qualitative difference between fan bases.

I'd love to know why GASO and stAte still have yet to play each other. I still think the Eagles would win but it'd be far from a blowout.

SBC schedules are in two year cycles. Two many football playing schools to allow for round robin play. 2016 will see a new cycle and each team will likely lose two they currently play for two they don't. I would assume we see Tx State and NMSU, not sure who we lose.

I hope we dont drop ULL or Ark St from our schedule next year. Stink can have what I will always refer to as their baby-Sun Belt title. I want to play the best the SBC has to offer win or lose every year.
