I mean, it could be possible more people are purchasing GA tickets for cheaper with hopes of finding a vacant seat.....but we should still pass along a deal or two for watauga county schools or something.

Should this be a typical GaSouthern game, get your checkbook out - because you will be buying season tickets......

It is a bit disheartening when you look at the numbers. Since Dman's update at 11:30 we've moved 46 reserved tickets...in 4.5 hours of middle-of-the-day box office is open buying time. I'm assuming some GA tixs have went out the door, and obviously some student guest tickets have been sold but even still, it's not an impressive rate in any regard. That means three things: 1.) We've got to really make hay tomorrow (Wednesday), 2.) the walk-up needs to be a great one, especially with the WX forecast trending warmer, and 3.) in times like these I really believe we need to keep the ticket office open past 4:00pm. There has to be locals and those wanting to phone-in who can't get by or call until after they get off work. No reason for the ticket office hours to be something in the range of 8:00am to 7:00pm at times like this. That additional 4 hours of "real" person time per day this week should be able to be absorbed via some form of on-site staffing. Let's hope Coach Satt's plea to attend makes the rounds hot and heavy and has an impact.

It's the weirdest thing. I can't find a second hand ticket anywhere. Historically that's been easier (and cheaper) for me, even when we've sold out the stadium. At this point no one is willing to part with their tickets, yet we still have a couple thousand available at appstatesports.com.

I think we'll find out the size of our die-hard fan base on Thursday. When you have a weekday game (aside from Friday Night), every single non-student, non-local present had to take great pains to get there. If they're present, they're going to be INTO IT.

That is why I'm predicting <25,000 people and the rowdiest environment in KBS history.

I agree with Gonzo at about 25k, but the loud and crazy will be there. I hope for more and the reported number may climb a bit. Students attendance record should certainly be set with this one as the school has grown and the head home every weekend crew is more likely to be in town.

The ECU game may have something to do with it. I have buddies who were invited to the App game, but will be in Greenville to see the Pirates play a top 25 team.

We'll have north of 30k for Troy with good weather though. Then the next Thursday game vs stAte will be lower.

Last year GaSo had 25k for us on Thursday then later in the year vs Troy on Thursday had around 20k.

Just purchased 3 for my boys and I today. Looking forward to it! Should be a great game. I agree with Gonzo. The people who want to be here, will be loud!!!

I think we are selling more tickets than it appears. As someone mentioned in another thread, more tickets were released for sale - meaning the number available in some sections have INCREASED over the last two days. This seems to have happened in the prime reserved sections (Yosef donations of $500 or more). For instance, one section went from sold out to 21 tickets available. Another went from sold out to 72 and a third went from 80 available to 172, etc. Not sure why the jumps in available tickets, but it may mask the number that has actually been sold over the last couple of days.

If no donors claim the unreserved prime seats, they release them a couple days before a game I believe. My prime section has fallen off quite a bit over the past couple seasons. I used to have the same people in front and beside me every game. Different people every game now and they have told me they bought tickets online. I would give anyway but where I sit I could most likely sit w/o donating. Last time the Stink was in Boone I had a crowd of those toothless rednecks beside me in Prime Yosef seats.

was disappointed we haven't sold out yet, but, I don't know, something doesn't seem right with the numbers, 2800 plus left, but no one can find any for sell on line? Anyway, don't know how many will actually be there, but one thing that's certain, with a huge student turnout and a stadium filled with our most diehard fans, that place is going to be the loudest it has ever been.

When you click on the sections there are a good bit less tickets available than what the section number shows. It is slow to update the numbers?

You won't be able to squeeze a greased BB into the student section on Thursday night. I'll be there with a group of 5.

From an aesthetic standpoint (TV perspective), I hope there are so many students they actually fill sections 113, 114, 217, 218 and the owens endzone rather than packing in like sardines in the West side.

Gonna be a wild night!

I noticed that also today. Some of the section were more than half below what was showing available when you just hover. Not sure why exactly but we'll know soon enough how many are there.

They'll probably spill over to the hill instead.

Out of curiosity how do websites like stub hub work? Do they purchase a block of seats and resell them or do they work off of the known un-purchased seats on the schools website?

Also if you click on most of the sections that are not sold out you see mostly single seats are all that is left.

David Jackson said on Around the Mountain this morning there were only a handful of tickets remaining. Would he say that if there were over 2,000 left?
