playing in the secondary is a balancing act, Slone is right, you don't want to give up the deep ball, but if you play too conservative, and don't challenge receivers they will pick you apart with short and medium passes, ie: the Liberty game, where their qb completed, I believe, 13 in a row at the beginning of the game, because, for some reason, we backed everyone off the line of scrimmage. I hope I'm not reading too much into his comments, because if our primary scheme in the secondary is to play conservative and keep every thing in front of us, teams are going to pick us apart.

This position concerns me the most.

I think we're loaded at safety and Gibbs will be a stud at one corner. Only concern for me is depth at corner. I do think Mondo will be fine, but he has to stay healthy.
Our pass rush has gotten a lot better since the Liberty game. I think it will be tough for QBs to consistently carve us up like that. It already was during last year's winning streak.

Im actually pretty excited about Austin Exford as well. When he returns to full strength, he will be good. Ive heard great things about him and he has great size at 6'2 195.
