Hi folks - I'm taking a shot at the occasional column for Yosef's Cabin. For my first effort, I decided to take a look at the Sun Belt's new and expanded bowl lineup, and where App might wind up going for the holidays.

nice write up, agree that the Cure Bowl would be our best chance, I live here in South Florida so I would love to be able to make the trip to Orlando, and you got to believe a lot of App fans would make that trip. One thing that worries me is the majority of bowls we would be considered for are in the Alabama/Louisanna areas, Bowls committees have been known in the past to pick schools based on their locations to the bowl rather than the most deserving schools. I could see a 8-4 or 9-3 App team passed over for a 6-6 USA simply because they are closer. Regardless, if we take care of business, finish 1st or second in the SBC, we would be in a bowl.

Do we still have a tie-in with the Bahamas Bowl? If so, when would be our first year to participate? I see this year it is Conf USA and MAC again.

The Sun Belt is part of rotating tie-ins with the Bahamas Bowl and I believe the Miami Beach Bowl, but neither includes the 2015 season. I'm not sure when those take effect.

For this year, Miami Beach is AAC vs. CUSA, and Bahamas is CUSA vs. MAC.

With things kind of slow I decided to update the article to include dates and times for each game, as well as the cancellation of the Austin bowl game.

Note that with the GoDaddy Bowl's move from early January to Dec. 23, all of the Sun Belt's tie-ins are now in the week before Christmas.
