I just saw an ESPN graphic when they were discussing current FBS Head Coaches at their alma mater who played QB .

They listed:
Okla State (Gundy)
Boise (Harsin)
Texas Tech (Kingsbury)
Utah State (Wells)
Wisconsin (Chryst)
Michigan (Harbaugh).

I'm pretty sure that Appalachian is FBS and I'm also pretty sure that Satterfield played QB there and he is now the head coach.

At first I thought they were just listing P5 coaches but the put up Wells at Utah State.

Neither is Boise. I had the same reaction you did when they discussed this graphic.

ESPN is a great network when it comes to sports production and broadcast coverage. However, they are really lacking in the news and journalism department. They've really abandoned their serious approach in reporting news and have embraced the social media side of the business in focusing on building a narrative that will garner clicks and views to the point that most of their content is now blog/opinion pieces which is fine for a lot of sites, but as Gonzo pointed out, you expect more from the dubbed "World-Wide Leader". Unfortunately this all has resulted in lazy and incomplete analysis surrounding teams, players/coaches, etc that don't fit that bill. Case and point with that graphic.

Agreed. All you need to know about how seriously ESPN takes sports journalism is this:

I honestly can't think of a worse sports show than First Take.

Steven A is the worst sports columnist on tv, very arrogant, loves to hear himself talk, but rarely says anything intelligent, its amazing he has a career on the national sports level, Skip Bayles isn't much better, but atleast, on a rare occasion, he makes an intelligent point. Agree, one of the worst, if not the worst, sports talk shows on ESPN.

Gotta disagree there. Don't get me wrong, Stephen A is terrible, but Skip Bayless, or at least his ESPN persona, is the absolute scum of the Earth. That's what makes that dreck even worse, they purposely try to be as controversial as possible, all the while making no real statements on anything.

To me Steven A always comes across as angry. I don't think that he is all that bad as a reporter of the news, but in this format, you are correct. He is not a very good host. Bayless isn't that entertaining either.

Agree with the assessment. I often wonder if those guys even like sports. How a list like this can be compiled without Satt on it is unbelievable. It isn't like there are a million schools to cross-reference.
