A note from history.......

In 1975, we traveled to Cullowhee to play the Kitties. We were 7-2 with wins over South Carolina, Wake Forest, and East Carolina. WCU was 2-8. There were Peach Bowl reps in Whitmire Stadium, as I understand it, ready to give us bid to play another ACC team once we had beaten WCU. We lost the game 20-11. The Peach reps. left and we never heard from them again. I was a Senior and in the BOD. All my WCU friends have never let me forget it.
In two days we play Idaho, a team with one win. On the line is a possible, vaguely possible, bid to a bowl (best case scenario) and an unthinkable winning record given our start. All week I have been remembering that Cullowhee Calamity, and hoping the guys keep their focus and the intensity that have gotten them this far. Everything I have read indicates they are focused and understand what is at stake.
GO APPS AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
