I was hoping to see Ark St. Perform well tonight to make me feel good, but look flat.we certainly gave opponents good film to stop Ark St. they can't move the ball tonight.

Rooting for the Bobcats. They lose and App wins out, App is in second place. Not a bad day at the office first season in. Go App!

That's not true... Tx state has already lost three so they don't threaten us if we win out. Also, UL would also have to lose to Troy for us to take second.

The Canjun's would have to lose twice for that to happen (2nd place). If Ark St loses and we win out, we are assured 3rd place to ourselves. We gave Ark St their 2nd loss. Nonetheless, agree a great 1st season.

"They"= Ark State AND I did forget that it is Troy that UL-L finishes with. Oh well, I can live with third.

Got to wonder how good Ark State really is at this point.

I agree Hap they look bad. The only scored when we set them up with a short field due to poor special teams play or in prevent d last week.

I think ULM was better than Ark St. watching Ark St. the last two weeks.

Texas State on their way to bowl eligibility.

I agree Saint, ULM was a stiffer test than Ark State.

Makes me even more apprehensive about Saturday's game.

ULM, while they did play us tougher, was not and is not better than A-State. We have a season's worth of results to back that up.

However, this loss tonight does take some luster off our win, at least for me.

Ark State has another runner rush for 200+ yards against them and they gave up 570 total yards. I would say that it does make our win a little less impressive. It doesn't take away from the importance of it but it does put into some perspective. There are now three teams with three losses and we have two. There certainly is a lot of parity in the top half of this league. If we split our last two games, there could be a four way tie at three losses. Ark State is home to NM State and TX State is at Ga State. USA is done with SBC games and finishes at 5-3.

This Ark State loss does say to me that we are facing a much tougher opponent this weekend than last weekend.

I watched part of the game last night. The Mayo kid for Texas St was the real deal. He brought it on every hit. I watched him knock a running backwards on two plays. I love watching good defensive play.

A bunch of stAte fans were talking about how depleted their team is including another targeting ejection. Not sure how many they have out compared to last week.

Full season body of work I agree with you, but over the last two weeks ULM looks like the better team. Ark St. is down to playing 7 offensive lineman and defense is banged up too.

We will not be able to overcome special team mistakes against ULL and they are playing their best ball of the year right now. Two hottest team in the SBC tomorrow at 2 for sure.

I agree that this will be our toughest test. Second of back to back road games. Tough venue against a team that might not, but better take us seriously. A look at schedules the eye test tells me that we are pretty even. Save the last 4 minutes last week we thoroughly dominated a team that put 40 on La La. La La scraped out a close win and gave up 31 to a Ga St. team that we destroyed. At team we destroyed before we were even as good as we are now! If the same App teams can go down there with the same level of confidence, move the ball with sustained running, mix in some timely passing, clean up the special teams and eliminate costly penalties we could see another impressive win.

To me, watching these teams lose, after losing to us, will not degrade our win over them. Considering how I felt about our future wins after our loss to Liberty, I'll relish each and every win we get this year.

Assuming the Sun Belt gets two bowls again this year does stAte still get one. I know we have more tie ins coming but do they kick in this year or 4 next year?
