WAC newspapers and bloogers keep mentioning App in their various thoughts.
This is a poorly written article unless you are familiar with some of these Western schools.
Seems as if WAC had some thought of a merged conference with the Big Sky that doesn't sound like it will go anywhere.
Not sure it is mentioned in this article but Idaho's state board is having a meeting today. They want them to approve a new outdoor larger football stadium, but some are pushing for an enlargement of the Kibbie Dome.
May pass FBS independent status, but many are not sure Idaho would.

For any that might wonder, Idaho put off any votes today until October 2012.

Saw another potential WAC membership article, this one with 45 dark horses. Take it they could be alternatives if App State, JMU, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Jacksonville State and/or Delaware do not agree to join the WAC.
Some are Canadian schools. Believe I read recently that the NCAA was allowing Canadian schools to join.

Guess Idaho threw a curve and one issue they are actually going to vote on tomorrow is their football team going FBS independent. Will be in the Big Sky Conference for everything else.
