In my own humble opinion... With the climate of the season and the doubt some folks (myself included) have had about our immediate future, we are APP STATE! Our team can, and will beat you. This was the most entertaining game I have witnessed since 2007. I won't try to sell it to you, but for me, it was the best since the greatest upset of all time. I don't think it was a bigger upset, but it was important and made a very big statement. GO APPS! BEAT LAFEAUXETTE!

Too many teams in this league have lost games against us because they fell down by two scores, and just sort of gave in. App didn't do that, they battled back, exposed our weaknesses and simply outplayed us.
We'll be better off in the long run for this. Next year, we'll know going in that the game isn't over the minute we get ahead, and that we will continue to have to play hard for 4 quarters. We just have to figure out in the short term how to respond quick enough to win in San Marcos Thursday.
App State and Georgia Southern or not quite like your standard SBC patsies. Unlike FIU and FAU they both have real football history. They have deeply dedicated fans and have institutional football knowledge. They are not city teams with casual fans like a UNT They like the cold.
I hope that our fan base can actually learn some things from them.

I saw like 30 App fans.
Oh we certainly could. Georgia Southern and App State have two of the more dedicated fan bases in College Football.
We just had about 7,000 people show up for a 40 degree mostly cloudy day. App had 15K two weeks ago in 25 degree weather with 4 inches of snow on the ground. If we had those conditions, 10 people might show up.
They mite not know us yet, but they will!

The Sun Belt royalty aren't liking the fact that App and GaSo are making this much noise in our first seasons of FBS/Sun Belt football. it's a challenge to their authority and they're actually going to have to work to win games now
We didn't come just to be happy with being FBS. we came to WIN! it all started with recruiting last year with App and GaSo having the #1 and #2 classes. it's only going to go from there

Wow. To see how far this team has come in just a few weeks is incredible. And not "incredible" or "amazing" the way those words are overused all the time, but legitimately, I would never have imagined it could happen. Five weeks ago we were looking at the legitimate possibility of 1-11. Now we're arguably playing as well as anyone in the league.
If any players read here, congrats on having the perseverance to turn this thing around. Keep up the good work and finish strong!

It was indeed a great win yesterday. One that quite frankly most of us didn't anticipate. It is truly amazing what this team has done over the last four games. It has, no doubt, caught the attention of the league. The announcers in the ULL-ULM game even mentioned our turn around. It is amazing the highs and lows that college football can bring.
I would hope that we keep everything in perspective. We are rightfully proud of what our guys have done. But, let's not let this go to our heads and begin posting outlandish things on the Belt board. There are plenty of Ga Southern fans who already do that. We don't need to emulate them. I would like to think we can win and do it with class.
