Another great performance from this team. Defense played lights out. On offense the running game made everything work. Not sure what's going on with Upshaw. Anybody know? Even with a small crowd that left at halftime the coaches and players stayed energized. It was really good to see us kick them in the teeth at the end of the first half. For those of you who didn't see it, 3 seconds left in the half, ball inside the 20, we send out the field goal unit, they call 3 straight time outs. On the third try we fake it and the holder runs it straight up the middle for a td. For those of you who didn't get to make it you missed a great Boone day.

Upshaw was alittle banged up, coaches decided to rest him for the next game, no big deal.

Are we completely certain that Bobby Lamb is at Mercer? GaState was in full "Bobby Lamb mode" on that series of play attempts!

Just saw the fake on sportcenter. "Mick el fresh" was their pronunciation. At least they said Appalatchun.

When GaSt kept calling TO's during th FG, I was yelling to bring on the offense and punch them in the face. Who knew our ST had the power! AWESOME!

Also saw Marcus Cox on the ESPN ticker for one of the top rushing performances of the day. Great to see App getting air time.

Yessirreeee , this will the be the ONE and ONLY time that I ever defend anything remotely related to Furple but hear me out. I used to attend church with Bobby in Greenville. Even though he pitched some of the biggest fits that I have ever witnessed at KBS when we were beating furman like a drum, he was always and I mean always respectful of App and our program. He told me via phone about the day that Taylor decided to go to App. He had been leaning toward either Southern Miss or South Ala and told his dad that he wanted to go to App because of all of the student excitement that he had witnessed there as a ball boy all of those years. Bobby was a proud dad and handled Taylor's decision with lots of class. There endeth my one and ONLY obligatory rant about anything Furple ever .
