Re: Wait....
Before the season, I know numerous people said that a 6 win season would be a dang good season and I agreed. To me I looked at the schedule, tried really hard not to be too much of a "homer", maybe even a little pessimistic, and saw 4 "should wins" (Campbell, Liberty (oops), Georgia St and Idaho), 3 "should lose" (Michigan, ULL, Arkansas St), three tough but winnable (GSU (in the Stink), South Alabama, Monroe) and 2 "Pick 'ems" (Troy and Southern Miss). The Liberty loss was bad, but we still had a chance, really should have beat USM, and did beat Troy. The long and short of it is, it's been a bad year, much like last year, but considering the step up in competition, it could still end up being a better year than last season. Beat Ga St and Idaho, trip up Monroe and maybe ULL or Ark St on the road and I think its an improvement over last season. Am I "happy" with that? Of course not, but I think its definitely moving in the right direction.

Congrats team and coaches. Have been here all week expressing my concerns. Got hammered for it.
Not sold, but did see improvement which is what I wanted

And I think that's what we will see for now on. Improvement each week. Even if it's small.App91 wrote:1 game a season do not make! j/kAppState89 wrote:Like some of us on here have been saying, "We will be fine"...![]()

Re: Wait....
Some Western Carolina fans were calling for Mark Spier's head after 1 season saying "there was not enough improvement". Now they are at the top of the SoCon and having a great season (could have easily beaten USF in the first game this season). I've always been a WCU "hater", but Mark is my friend and I want to give him the kudos he deserves. Hopefully, we will be sitting on top of the Sun Belt soon and can say the same.
