I did not hear it. What was said?GoAppsGo92 wrote:You listen to the chancellor during the pre-game show? You might be closer to your dream than you think.NewApp wrote:I had a short nightmare last night. I dreamed we focused on a politically correct hire.
Actually I didn't. I was still playing with the ESPN3 thingy. I just suspect that when the BOG selects a politically correct hiring experiment as Chancellor, that person also considers experimenting with one themselves. However, I think she realizes what the backlash would be if she tried and failed. Let's hope she makes a good decision, not a PC nor accommodating one. Nothing says she can't do both, but the odds are against it. The talent pool is too small.GoAppsGo92 wrote:You listen to the chancellor during the pre-game show? BTW, a disclaimer: my thought of Barber as a possible AD candidate had absolutely NOTHING to do with the game on Saturday, has nothing to do with his relationship with controversial Liberty, etc. It has everything to do with the results he has produced at LU since arriving there in 06' (I believe). I want the best candidate for the job but I'm sure our front-runners are likely to be one of two things: either a up and coming guy from a higher-rung FCS level school, or a mid/top tier assistant AD at a G5 school. Barber would fit the bill in that regard.boonetown1 wrote:Personally, I would not mind that...maybe we could get their OC too. Wonder if we could swing getting him.
Aaron Stamn is actually the OC. Wags is the asst and OL coach, I wouldn't hire a WCU coach either.HkyMtneer wrote:BTW, a disclaimer: my thought of Barber as a possible AD candidate had absolutely NOTHING to do with the game on Saturday, has nothing to do with his relationship with controversial Liberty, etc. It has everything to do with the results he has produced at LU since arriving there in 06' (I believe). As for Liberty's OC. I think I'll pass on Wagner. He caused enough damage at WCU, and his success in Lynchburg is surprising to me, though I don't think he is actually calling too many shots at LU.
We did successfully when we hired Lonnie Galloway. I wish we still had him despite his lack of pedigree.boonetown1 wrote:Aaron Stamn is actually the OC. And Spier..NewApp wrote: We did successfully when we hired Lonnie Galloway. I wish we still had him despite his lack of pedigree.
Galloway definitely did better than I expected. It would've been nice to have been able to have held on to him a bit longer.NewApp wrote:We did successfully when we hired Lonnie Galloway.
