How many of us older folks (checking the 45+ box on age surveys) have watched a game in the thick of the student section of the west stands?

How was it as an older guy? I have done the hill many times, which can be a mixture of folks. And I did the end zone at the GaSo game, which was fun. I was with a friend of the family that was at App at the time. And there was a mix of ages there though when the end zone first went it I thought it was for student general admission.AppSt94 wrote:I have.
My first time since 1976 will be Saturday, with my daughter.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:How many of us older folks (checking the 45+ box on age surveys) have watched a game in the thick of the student section of the west stands?

It's great because you don't have someone behind you yelling at you to sit down. Now I am not quite 45 ( 43). But I still go to rock festivals and get as close to the stage as I can. I don't mosh but I enjoy the energy. Plus it keeps you young.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:How was it as an older guy? I have done the hill many times, which can be a mixture of folks. My daughter got me student guest tickets for my birthday. Not sure if I will be on the hill, end zone, the east side student section or find an empty seat if the crowd is thin. I don't plan to hang with my daughter as I want her to have some space. And as much as she does not care for sports, she may leave at halftime, and I don't want her spoiling my fun. Short of a family emergency I never leave an App game early.
I like that you can leave to go the bathrooms or concessions fairly easy because everyone is standing on the seats so the walkway is empty. Plus it makes you feel like a student a little. There was several games I'd run down and see my kids for awhile.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:How was it as an older guy? I have done the hill many times, which can be a mixture of folks.
