Team gel slightly at last???

I just watched a very young App team, with a new head coach, a new OFF coordinator, a new DEF coordinator come from 18 points down to lose on a last second field goal. They had a fight that had seemingly been missing for some years. I like our chances the rest of the season and I don't think I'm crazy.
The OFF team has had to adjust to whichever quarterback is in. Sadly I believe a first half of very poor QB play doomed us. It took the 3rd quarter to adjust, but honestly I think we'll look completely different next game as long as Bryant starts. They had to see what the kid was comfortable with in game and he had to shake the rust off as well. They had to gel together.
I know their D was playing off, but they seemed to only do that after we scored the next to last time. That last drive, I truly believe, was a beautiful mix of play calling for an able QB that everyone had confidence in. Out O-line seemed to improve too.
Both games, our D has just gotten tired. Our D is swarming to the ball carrier like I haven't seen in a long time. I don't see the entitled show offs beating their chest after losing 10 yards. I see a team ready to earn some pride after two bad losses and I think we'll all be amazed in two weeks time. I will humbly eat crow, but I hope to goodness I don't have to. Two weeks of Kam at QB in practice should reveal a new App football team. Regardless, it's not all JMs, SSs, or anyone elses single fault. GO APPS forever!!!

I'm not speaking for GAS but since he gave you a rep point I believe he's saying he agrees with you. I gave you one also.

Bryant was 21-31 for 191 yards in 2nd half with no INTs and 2 TDs
Jackson was 11-20 for 120 yards in 1st half with 2 INTs (1 pick 6) and 1 TD
Also - Marcus Cox average 4.5 yards per carry to Fergerson's 3.1
Did we have two different offensive lines ?
The OL has a ways to go, but you cannot run a spread option offense with a QB who cannot move.

Bryant has to put some more into his throws. His passes look more like lobs. He did a good job of finding targets, just maybe needs more confidence in himself.

The last couple drives looked like App State Football. Before that I don't know what we were trying to do. Also we waited way too long to go into attack mode. Maybe 3 minutes left in the game.
Gotta give props to A&T punter and their coverage guys. They did not make our job easy. Washington could have picked up a couple of those that got downed inside the 5 but coulda, should, woulda at this point.

And, it takes the coaching staff a whole half of a football game to figure that out?????? Didn't this show during practice this week, or, did they practice????

Thank you!!! I highly doubt Jackson was moving smoothly all week then woke up Saturday morning having trouble moving.
Maybe QB's wearing the red jersey in practice isn't a good idea...

There are other ways to analyze a QBs mobility other than by practice scrimmage.
