#AttackEra #AlwaysAttack

You've got my support, but after tonight you need to chill with these hashtags.

East/West offense isn't attacking.

Nah...keep using the hash tags. Let's just step up and make them mean something!

I think Jackson being so bad totally took us out of our game plan on offense.

I don't know if people have noticed but Saban doesn't tweet. Satterfield definitely spends too much time on Twitter. I think a lot of our coaches do. Scott has some qualities I love but I do think he spends too much time on social media. Craig Bohl up at NDSU doesn't get on Twitter. Why don't our coaches spend more time game planning and having the #2 QB ready as well as knowing when to pull Jackson and save him for another day and less time hash tagging. I agree with the post here.

I will say that it's just one game and the sky isn't falling. I expected to lose this game. We will lose 3 games this year for sure but if we lose anymore than that Scott needs to have some pressure on him next year. Like I said, it's still early so let's see though.

We didn't lose this game because of Twitter. Goodness gracious. Nick Saban is older than my dad, neither tweet. Wow.

On the flipside - most of the younguns use twitter these days and showing recruits you are modern and connected means something.

To underestimate twitter is to reveal your ignorance of the nature and culture of the modern 17-18 year old. One thing that no one can criticize Satt about is the sophistication of his recruiting tactics, ie social media and (Always Attack) branding.

How well this offense lived up to the new pseudonym is completely separate.

So far....adjustments to be made and a long way to go.

Nick Saban is 61 and it is doubtful he even knows how to use Twitter.

Last year App - with a very experienced defense and Montana with a freshman QB - has to intercept a ball on the last play to win the game. Sat night Montana rolled out essentially the same offensive team - 9 starters back - PLUS a QB that has 12 starts under his belt and 11 returning starters on defense. With all the changes we've had on the staff - especially on defense - winning was a long shot at best.

You're right everyone should have known these would be tough games. After winning last year I think they were better prepared than us and that's the reason we weren't close. I think some of that is the coaches fault and some is just the way things bounces.

I think JLJ was off but I think he has more in him and he's still the go to guy. I think Satt is new with new players and when we got behind and they were moving the ball well, it was a tough position for any coach, especially a new one.

That is true, but we also had 10 returning players on offense (minus 1 because of Price) and were unable to get a touchdown. It's not the loss that is so hard to deal with as much as the complete lack of offense. This was supposed to be the strength of our team and we can't even get a touchdown when we have first and goal from inside the 10. Every aspect of the offense was disappointing from the play of our senior quarterback to the blocking to the play calling, I don't even know where to start. Winning might have been a long shot at best but not scoring an offensive touchdown against a FCS team was unthinkable to me. We have lost plenty of times since 2001 but even then we were always able to score touchdowns.

C'mon Pres., I wasn't bashing the elderly. I was simply pointing out the ridiculousness of a post saying that Satterfield is tweeting instead of working.

I'd put the lack of offense more on JLJ not being full speed than anything else. Also, Satterfield is trying to get use to an entirely new role as HC/Play Caller. I think we had too many new variables to expect a well oiled offensive machine. Luckily we have a few weeks before we hit the meat of the schedule to work the bugs out.

And exactly how much time does he spend on Twitter? And exactly how do you know how much time he spends? Are you with him all the time? I'm sorry but statements like that just plain piss me off. It takes mybe 15 seconds to post on Twitter. How is that taking away from game planning? That's just a cheap shot of the cheapest sort.

One game against a hungry revenge motivated top tier opponent
First game for a new head coach and most of the staff
Twitter...Really??? You are worried about freaking Twitter?
Scott is a coach and a former player and I have every confidence he will figure out what needs to be done ...and it may not all happen in year one and we have the luxury of being Monday Morning QB's.
I'm looking forward to seeing App Nation in Boone Saturday.

Maybe you should check out http://www.footballscoop.com so you can se how many coaches are on twitter these days. They have an entire column dedicated to tweets by coaches.
