J.Adams has either been placed on injured reserve or released outright! It's listed both ways. K.Pilares has been placed in IR. Under an earlier contract, the NFL was not permitted to waive an injured player. The team was responsible for all med care. What's this new mess?

Both were cut and both cleared waivers so the team has to place them on IR, since they were injuried at the time they were cut. They do not count against the final numbers and what usually happens is they will stay on IR until they are cleared medically to play. They would then be removed from IR and then cut again. JK has the same situation in Washington.
By all reports I've seen the coaches told Armanti he was on the team and that's why he did not play Thursday even though he did practice for two days this week. What he did lose was a chance to try and win the #3 WR spot but better for him to heal to 100% and win it back in practice (as he was doing before he was injured) and in games than to risk making the hamstring worse and missing many more games. It appears that the coaches will rotate players in at the #3 and #4 spot, when those sets are used, until someone "steps up", according to Riveria. We'll see if that happens but I believe AE is fine as far as making the 53.
