I don't think it says the league was down at TE as much as that is how good Cummings was playing early on. He would have been in discussion for All-America honors had he kept it up.

He was very good and a mismatch for SBC LBs. I think we are bowl eligible if he stays healthy, so I have high praise for his abilities.

But 37 catches, 374 yards and 1 TD in eight games, tap the brakes on AA.

TD numbers were not high but at the time of the injury he was among the top 5 TEs in the country in receiving yards. I did not say he would be an All-American but he would have been in discussion for it at least. Cummings was actually playing his way into having a real shot to get drafted late before the injury.

He could have gotten looks at the NFL, but again AA talk is hyperbole.

Worst program in the conference? Get out of here with that trash. We are a premiere program in G5, that has had a few down seasons after a run of almost 20 really good seasons. That’s like saying Clemson is the worst program in the ACC after this season.
