Finally, another season is upon us. Sometimes those offseasons are longer than others. Unfortunately, last season ended long before we would have liked, but it still felt appropriate. Last fall was a bad one in the mountains for more reasons than just football, and we’ll still feel the effects of a rebuilding process in the hills for several reasons. On the football side of things, expectations have hardly simmered. A lot of people aren’t sure what to expect with a lot of new faces in town attempting to correct what went wrong last year. The fact that it won’t happen overnight is what is trying to be whispered across town, but we all know college football fans are not that patient. Some leniency might be granted, but it will wear thin if things head too far south. There is one easy solution. Winning takes care of a lot. It will make things easier on some who are trying to fit in and find their footing. And to get to winning, you have to do the little things. Eventually it all adds up, and it starts on Friday night.

Obviously hoping for the best. Hoping theres a chance our talent in the skill positions can pull away in this one but we shall see. Not sure how our lines will hold up nor the fact that the guy on the other sideline is a more seasoned head coach than ours. Also extremely weary of the way things are looking in Vegas. App state taking almost 75% of the money and the spread continues to fall from app -10 to app -5. All that said I’ll be optimistic and call it app wins 30-21. Who really knows at the end of the day? Looking forward to it.

After following App football for {gasp} almost 40 years now I will say I believe this is a time of the most new coaches the most new staff and the most new players ever IIRC. So I feel the most confident I have ever felt in predicting No Prediction, NP. I have no idea what is going to go on. But, I know what team I'm rooting for that will never change!!

I just don’t know, I feel very uneasy about this specific game. The biggest reason being this: both us and Charlotte more or less have entirely new rosters this season, just like most of our other peers too. I’m not going to begin to try and decide who got better players from the portal. The question is can program leadership take 40+ new faces who have never played together and develop a winning team in 8 months? Albin HAS done this before. Multiple times actually. We just don’t know if Loggains can yet. This is not at all to say they made a better hire long term than we did, he’s just a far more experienced coach right now. For this reason I actually think we lose. And if we do we’re all going to need to take a deep breath, something this fanbase isn’t capable of.
