We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

That would be a great move toward re-establishing the culture.

My crystal ball says he’ll be the next HC, or maybe just my jump to conclusions mat.

Re: DJ Smith DC
Gillin also likely has a bad taste in his mouth over the division over what to do with Clark so I am gonna wait and see where we are in a year from now before I would jump to that conclusion. He will have to do a great job with defense and Loggains will have to have major success here and recommend him I would think.
The news of DJ has everyone celebrating big time. Funny how we had a couple folks being frustrated and saying they are upset with lack of news but have all changed their tunes. Like some of us said, be patient and give DL to Jan 1-5/10 time frame and we should see good stuff happen.
I am expecting several coaching announcements from App over next 48-72 hours.

This hire makes me feel so much more at home/better. Love it. Hope he brings back that dog on Defense.

Re: DJ Smith DC
I like bringing DJ Smith back to Boone. In addition to his defensive experience, he's been Mizzou's recruiting coordinator as well.
Maybe he can help lure the Mizzou QB who is in the portal...if Loggains is pursuing him.

Re: DJ Smith DC
Arnett's agent leaked the news of him in talks with App to play the field and get other schools to make a jump. I don't see DJ Smith doing that to us and hearing it is done deal but until announced I know how you feel. I am expecting an announcement tomorrow or Tuesday if it is a done deal like people are saying.

Re: DJ Smith DC
I can't imagine any App State fan not being thrilled about this potential hire. DJ has done it all, and a lot of that was at App State. He was a great player for us, went on the NFL, came back to coach under winning coaches, then he departs to the SEC where he continues to earn his chops and rises to level of Co-DC. This guy has what it takes to be a great DC and just needs a chance to prove it. I like winners and DJ is a proven winner, he helped App State win multiple conference and national titles as a player and coach. Great hire, if he ends up signing on the dotted line.

Well they were right about the other hire .. only to be hired away. This has a Doug persuasion to it.
