We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

What’s Your Plan
As we saw this past Tuesday the reaction of folks when results didn’t meet expectations. So I will ask this of all that are of the mindset that it is time to move on.
What is your plan come December 2nd if the buyout doesn’t occur and Shawn comes back next year? Will there be a revolt? Will Yosef Club donations cease? Will season tickets be turned in? I’m genuinely curious as I understand the frustration and disappointment. I also understand the finger pointing towards one guy. I can’t say that I agree with it, but I do understand it. So I ask you all that want a change. What is your plan should you not get your wish? Have a great day.

Re: What’s Your Plan
On December 2nd -- I will probably be drinking bourbon in South America - typically where I go the weekend after Thanksgiving,
But this year I will travel to Denver of the West to visit relatives and watch my Browns vs the Broncos.
So yeah that's my plan.
DOTE - to DOTW on 12/1/24

If SC accomplishes what he stated in last night's presser, win three more games to include a bowl he'll probably be back. If so, I'll give him the benefit of doubt. However, next season he would be on a short lease.

I think we lose out and there is no way we keep him. My plan depends on that. I have been coming to games since the mid 90's but this is a joke at this point. We let sub par teams roll all over us on prime time. The brand has taken a huge hit this year. No one is scared of us at all

Since following the program the only time I can remember it was this bad was during the "App State Football Ain't Working" years. Only difference was Working wasn't allowed to stick around as long. Different era financially though.

I’ll be cheering for App through hell or high water. Nothing I do or say on here will impact what the BOT or the AD or the Chancellor decides.
If they are comfortable with a mediocre program that’s their choice. I don’t think they are, but either way I’ll be there. There is no other option.

Re: What’s Your Plan
I'm not dropping the season tickets yet as there aren't many seasons left before the kids are out on their own, plus the oldest starts at App in the fall.
I will be dropping my donation level to the minimum to keep the seats though. I'm comfortable giving minimum effort as long as they are.

I will be waking up and going to work. I love App State and especially football so whatever happens, I will still continue to support.

I will continue to invest time and money. I will also share my thoughts with those making the decisions that guide the program. The weekend of the 23rd I plan to do each of the above in person.

Re: What’s Your Plan
Hopefully, regardless of what happens, I will increase my revenue stream to Boone, provided the financial package for my kid is enough to justify out-of-state tuition. That means I will likely increase my $$$ for the YC and possibly split season tickets with family, as we will have an excuse to go to Boone more regularly.
If the decision is, say, Tech, then I will learn how to jump around to Enter Sandman, and the cash flow to Boone will remain the same (in truth, it's not enough to miss). If the decision is for JMU, forget the football coach, I will need to get a new favorite kid.

One of my kids did not attend App. I just let her know I supported her choice academically, however, my heart will be riding with App. athletics.
My youngest daughter saw the light and is at App now..

I'll still be taking the octagon and trailer in/out of the storage unit over on Sharon Amity.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
As long as there's App Football, that equipment will continue to come in handy.

Re: What’s Your Plan
Seriously, though...if Clark stays as HC with no extension, the danger isn't at the end of this season.
It's over the winter/spring as App is trying to land recruits, with a crescendo at the beginning of next season should the team get off to a slow start.

Re: What’s Your Plan
I don't live near Boone, so I usually only make to one game a year anyway. If Clark is still coach next year, I won't make any effort to attend a game. I'll support App State athletics and the school, I'll wear my black and gold proudly. However, App State football will no longer be appointment viewing. If there's something else happening on a Saturday, I'll do that. I won't be staying up late for Wed-Thurs night games. I mean, that's already where I am. I went to bed about half way through the third quarter last night.

Re: What’s Your Plan
Well, I’ll say this, if changes aren’t made, then I think it’s fair to question whether or not the university is committed to winning.
How long can you possibly justify staying with a coach who for five years has failed to achieve his own stated goal of winning the conference.
So, if the university is comfortable with mediocrity, why should fans continue to spend their hard earned money to support the program.
I hope changes are made, because there’s no evidence that things will improve otherwise.

Re: What’s Your Plan
I’ll be in Boone for football no matter what! Yes, I’m frustrated. But, I try to be a realist in viewing this situation. It’s not as simple as “fire Shawn Clark”. Of course there are better coaches out there, just as there are far worse. Someone posted on here last week that had envisioned us being on par with Boise, Cincinnati and Memphis. That’s a fair desire. Compare the money though. Their budgets and TV revenues are a tremendous amount more than us. Not trying to poor mouth, but damn, it’s true. An article came out in the Charlotte Observer a few weeks back tgst listed base pay fir all the coaches in the UNC system. All sports. Remember, this was just base. No incentives, bonuses, etc. Clark was 4th behind Dorien, Houston and Brown. That seems fair. But…… there were 5 assistants at State and 5 assistants at Carolina with higher base pay than Clark. There were 10 assistants at State and 10 assistants at Carolina with higher base pay than Ponce and Sloan. Not saying we can’t be competitive with less money. We’ve done it since moving up. But for all of the folks on here that act like it should be automatic or better, these are things you have to look at. Many of you have mentioned names of young coaches in FCS that should be considered. Well, maybe….. football is football, but it’s different whether you admit it or not.
In the end we all agree……
Give ‘Em Hell Apps!

Re: What’s Your Plan
This is something many don't want to bring up. He can't come back without an extension and I don't see the BOT approving that so 2026 recruiting would be in big trouble.
