Re: Week 9 Scores of Interest
...but like many SBC games this year, it's a short week for both teams. And I can't figure out if ODU is that good or GASO is just having an off night.
Colton Joseph (ODU QB) reminds me of Joey...last season.

The physical development of the ODU players is impressive. Even the QB is a beast.

We need ODU to win this one. The eternal optimist in me still sees a way if all the right cards fall the right way. It's real slim, but there is a way.

Re: Week 9 Scores of Interest
I think it is. Coaches who can get teams to gel quickly and play as a unit will be the ones who succeed, even with lesser talent. Navy and Army both in the top 25 (with Clemson) is a prime example of this.

Re: Week 9 Scores of Interest
I know I'm chasing windmills here but this Saturday we need:
ULM to beat Marshall & South Al to beat Ga Southern.
Coastal's playing Troy, but they already have 2 losses so if we beat them then we have the tie-breaker...so that game probably has no impact on our situation.
I haven't gone through the scenarios but I don't believe we've been eliminated from contention yet, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong. We, of course, have to win out which would be a huge turn-around...but we've done it before. It ain't over 'till it's over...

Marshall needs some "L's". They are the only east team that has the tie breaker against us.
Holding out hope. We have to put up a lot of points.

Yep, they still have Southern Miss, ODU, JMU, Coastal, and ULM. They could easily drop 3 of those 5 and end up with 4 conf losses.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:53 pmMarshall needs some "L's". They are the only east team that has the tie breaker against us.

I'll worry about scenarios when App's chances of a division title rise above 10%, we are currently at 0.5%.
