Smoke and mirrors to distract from coaching situation.

Maybe Wake or UNC seeing that we are no longer a threat, at least for the short term.

Hope the excitement is that we’re going to schedule a winnable September with Kennesaw State and UMASS. The physical toll the p4 games seem to be taking throughout the years has left us hobbling into October.

Home and home with Oregon State in 2025 and 2029? Possibly, a home and home with Wake?

I honestly don’t want us scheduling P4 opponents until we can show we are capable of beating G5 opponents consistently.

Agree with others. Scheduling announcements are fun when you are any good.

Not so much when you cringe at how bad you will lose.

Oregon State isn’t good (we aren’t either). They just lost to Nevada. Out of all the P5s this is a good one to schedule. Sure beats playing Clemson or Georgia again.

I hear ya…. And you are right, just bummed with where we are right now.

The question on this announcement is whether it is a late add for a November bye week this year or a future scheduling series.

Later this year would have made a lot more sense if we were 3-3. At 2-4, it’s 50/50 if it is going to matter. All for it if we get to 5-6 and need a win to go bowling, but if we are 4-7, no thanks.
