Home Season Moving Forward

Home games will be played at Wake Forest for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Can't get enough people to 'work' the games, security, concessions etc. and most likely not safe and the town of Boone can't handle 40k on the weekends under the conditions.

Young bus company is statesville tonight - will pick up the team tomorrow for trip to Marshall (Young is based in Asheville to you guys that do not think through every detail throughly.

You are welcome - carry on!

Wake’s AD or President did say they would be open to hosting but nothing publicly official. He’s got someone inside the program.

My sources are always air tight...two road games at Marshall and ULL - public won't happen until next week.

90% of the time I am correct all the time. (What movie)

Anchor Man. But I think the quote is "60% of the time, it works everytime"

Looked at Wakes schedule and it appears they do not have any scheduled home games on the same days as us.

Ye that was Sex Panther cologne -- my statement was similar but different - but in the same ball park.
I left some wiggle incase they throw a curve ball last minute on my scoop of the day - (hence the 90%)

I hope this is true, or some other arrangement, so that the players won't lose their season. They've worked so hard and been through too much...

Five of the six posters directly preceding yours have thanked more than they have been thanked.

So are we presuming this is true, the games will be played at Wake? If so I need to make hotel reservations in Winston. Not sure if there is an old joke I'm missing.

Someone moderated their numbers after I posted, typical in an election year.

I am not going to tell you what to do- game being in Winston means more fans will drive home after game instead of staying overnight like they do in Boone. They'll be plenty of hotels since Wake will be out of town on those remaining home dates.

Let’s be serious…Wake home games aren’t exactly driving hotel occupancy. I’d guess 75% of their non-student attendance is local to the triad

If this is true, seat assignments ought to be fun.

I'd hope the fanbase shows some grace. We should consider ourselves fortunate for the opportunity to watch football in general. I'm surprised we're playing this weekend honestly.

Maybe not but there could be other events in Winston, maybe FEMA is being housed there, idk, just trying to plan ahead a little. Worst case I make the 1.5 hour home to CLT.
