Realistic coaching options for 2025...

I think we all can see where this season is going. There will be a coaching change and it will happen sooner than later. Any thoughts on who might be the next guy? Any P4 coordinators that might want to come here to revitalize the program?

Tre Lamb. Could keep him a year or 2 maybe.

I’d look at P4 OC/DC assuming we can pay enough.

Ask Steve Wilks. Doubtful he would take it though.

Man I’d love to have Steve here but I agree, very difficult sell

I’d have to think he wants to go back to the NFL

If he really wanted to go back to the NFL, why waste time at UNCC?

Enough of alumni. Go for the best option.

To be clear I know nothing about the man beyond what I see on tv, but I don’t get the impression he’s interested in “playing the game” of being a college football coach. He was effective in Carolina because he’s a leader of men that doesn’t put up with BS.

I’m not sure how that translates to babysitting college players and more importantly, babysitting alumni.

To stay around the game while he waits for a gig in the league. I just don’t think he wants to deal with the bullshit in college

Agreed. He took the UNCC position in August. He'll be back in NFL next season.

I would say Daniel Jeremiah. But he’s at the game tonight, and probably wants no part of it, and is probably making more money talking on TV.

You can always ask, no reason not to.

We simply need to find the best OC out there who wants a chance to get a head coaching job in the P4. That’s right, we need a guy who wants out of Boone as fast as he can get out. And we simply keep doing that as they hopefully leave one after another. That’s how it works now.

Bryan Harsin
Bryan Brown
Frank Ponce
Scott Satterfield
Tim Banks
Shawn Elliott
Steve Wilks
Tre Lamb

I threw a few names in for fun. I think Brown will follow Kiffin to Florida next fall.
