I have no problem with the way our team responded at the end. Cheap shots on a kicker, on a QB and DBs talking smack the whole game, I'm fine with not always having to turn the other cheek. The nice guy role doesn't always have to be filled by our HC and players.

I don’t normally care for it; but I’m honestly ok with it. The D needs a little more swagger.

Also, the way ecu played. He’ll even their 32 year old kicker grabbed one of our guys jerseys trying to bait him into retaliating.

I am a Clark supporter...I think he is a good ambassador for AppState....but I hate his offense. The lack of misdirection in his offensive is down right criminal to his offensive players. Please give them a little help with some misdirection. Even if it is to slow a defender by half of a step. Joey has the whole other half of the field to run on a bootleg when the whole defense crashes towards our running back. Absolutely no need for the defensive ends to hold containment....they (opposing defensive ends) are just crashing down.
I mean, we did run a flea flicker on 1st and 10...

100% agree with everything you said.

A counter or misdirection to keep the defense guessing is just what we need

Favors will be out for the first half. The four who missed today likely won't play in my opinion. Maybe they suit up but are limited. If they couldn't go today, its hard to see how they will be that much better in 5 days. It would be more beneficial for the long-term to allow them a full week off. The defensive depth earned some extra time anyways.
The defensive depth was huge. The 2s and possibly 3s stepped up and got the job done. If our D remains like this and the starters get healthy we could be looking at a few goose egg wins this season.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Get though South Alabama and we'll see what we are. This is the year. We don't look great but our record is where it should be.

If you were also in the stands last night, tell me if I’m wrong…but whatever supposedly happened in that video clip wasn’t really that big of a deal. Nothing like virtue signaling by Iggles fans.

With that sieve they call a defense, they should be more concerned about Ole Miss dragging them this weekend than what happened in Greenville last night.

We need to use motion and misdirection more. If you go back and look at the two point conversion, great motion from Robinson, nice play fake that has the end crashing down on the running back and we slip the tight end. All of the plays where Castle was stuffed at the line of scrimmage, there is no motion. We just line up and the defense knows what is coming. We need to put the defense in conflict pre-snap more often.

Said same thing during the game. I feel like if we would make defenses have to guess and adjust more pre-snap and force them to really think quickly on whether to crash or widen out on plays like that we could do some damage with our speed.

This isn’t Clark’s offense. This is Satterfield/Ponce’s offense and has been since what, 2014?

Clark is the Head Coach but he never was a coordinator. Y’all are starting to sound like ECU people. Anytime something goes right, it’s the coordinators fault. Anytime something goes wrong, it’s the Head Coach’s fault, even if it’s mid game and the primary responsibility for game planning is on the coordinators.

Also, I watched the whole game, even post game, on TV, and they didn't show any of this. So it's not like a national TV audience saw any of that.

A looooongg time ago but the Wofford game in 2008 on Halloween was a hot start.
If I recall the Halloween game correctly, we were down 14-0 and then Armanti took over. Just sayin.
That was a different game. Halloween 2008, App and Wofford traded TDs for the first couple drives, then App started forcing turnovers and smoked the Terriers.

I was working security that game. ESPN was there. A LOT of kids got drinking tickets.
I started at 1:30 that afternoon right after a world music exam. Don’t know how I didn’t get a ticket or anything worse. The bathrooms and ground of the student section were the worst I remember seeing with airplane bottles everywhere.
The whole stadium was trashed after the game. I was trying so hard to be chill and not ruin anyone's good time. I can't tell you how many times I said, "PLEASE take your liquor into the bathroom to mix with your coke. If I see it again I'm obligated to go get the cops, and I REALLY don't want to do that." Some of my coworkers were not so generous and understanding.

Halloween game 2008 one of my all time most epic and memorable and favorite App games. Perfect storm of awesomeness. I was in the on campus club that works with international/study abroad students, and after the game there was a big party...danced and celebrated until the wee hours

For what it's worth, Bill Connelly's SP+ has us at 80 and USA at 84.

It means absolutely nothing and is not indicative of this next game but had we played that team USA crushed and if Clark used the same peddle to the medal approach could we have hung 80 on them? Must be a dreadful team.

I looked back at that game and it was a strange set of circumstances that led to many many short field possessions for USA. There were several turnovers but maybe 28 pts worth. There were several runbacks on kicks/punts. But 87 are like 13 scoring possessions to get you there. USA had yards but not 900 yds., they had 620 yrds for game but we have seen that in many games that do not yield 87 pts. I am saying it appeared to be a combination of several factors that led to this very unusual score.

Markus Clark and Derrell Farrar are out for the season. Myles Farmer is questionable this week.
