A looooongg time ago but the Wofford game in 2008 on Halloween was a hot start.
If I recall the Halloween game correctly, we were down 14-0 and then Armanti took over. Just sayin.
That was a different game. Halloween 2008, App and Wofford traded TDs for the first couple drives, then App started forcing turnovers and smoked the Terriers.

I was working security that game. ESPN was there. A LOT of kids got drinking tickets.

I started at 1:30 that afternoon right after a world music exam. Don’t know how I didn’t get a ticket or anything worse. The bathrooms and ground of the student section were the worst I remember seeing with airplane bottles everywhere.

We started tailgating at 9am that day. I’m not sure how we survived.

On float trips we start around 7am and continue past midnight. LOL

What’s weather forecast for Thursday night? I know there is a storm off the coast of the Carolinas moving inland.

With beer I’d been ok. That day happens to be my bday and so about 4 people gave me a bottle of scotch.

Main thing may be to get all the D guys who were hurt to be healed up.
I don’t know man. Defense looked stout against ECU. Sort of liked the rotation up front and how the safeties played with clean eyes.

Haynes needs to start. Maybe Burks as well. Get Nate back, Fletcher, Clark and we will be okay. Secondary still a little raw and scary.

We proved we can win without some players. Not saying they were weak links, not in the least, but that will ratchet up the competition in practice when they return.

I think Farmer needs to play closer to the line, personally. After the Clemson game, and then seeing how the secondary played against ECU, I believe he is better suited to playing tight rather than being relied upon to cover.

Either way, playing without 7 starters and holding an Air Raid style offense to around 250 yards (removing the fourth play of the game) is outstanding.

Eff them. Come over in our sideline and get what they deserve. Feel bad about it, score more points.

I was in high school and drove myself up the mountain, by myself, and went to the game, by myself. Of note were the 180 or some yards by Brian Quick, Mark Legree’s 3 interceptions, and the fact it was number two versus number three in the national polls. I also called the touchdown pass to Ben Jorden up the seam before it happened; the guy in front of me turned around, jaw on the floor, asking how I knew that.

Good times.

I miss those kinds of wins. Stress free and a good time.

After ECU cheapshotted our kicker and tried to bait App into personal fouls all game, I was rooting for someone to plant the flag at midfield post-game.

Also, several ECU players walked over toward Harrington to gang up on him, I'm fine with him gloating for a few seconds.

Not to mention taking a shot at Joey on the 1st kneel down.

I am a Clark supporter...I think he is a good ambassador for AppState....but I hate his offense. The lack of misdirection in his offensive is down right criminal to his offensive players. Please give them a little help with some misdirection. Even if it is to slow a defender by half of a step. Joey has the whole other half of the field to run on a bootleg when the whole defense crashes towards our running back. Absolutely no need for the defensive ends to hold containment....they (opposing defensive ends) are just crashing down.

We should be better than that. If we are really concerned with our " Brand" we should not want to see that crap on nat TV. Again it is the lack of diciplin we have had for too many years.
