We're really a 3 point favorite?

ECU is bad. And they get 3 points for being at home.

I think several people will pick us to lose but I would expect to cover that spread. I agree with you that they are bad. If somehow we do lose then it will be a long season for us.

Let's go in and shut the run game down, and hopefully we should be good.

It's all about how we respond, similar to Clemson's need for a response yesterday. If we are any good among our level we need to win by a couple of scores.

Let's establish the run game on offense..
In looking at some of last nights game, Joey actually had time to throw on many plays. We just could not get separation.
Hopefully, pass protection continues to be good.

Let's have a D resurgence this week.

This will be the best assessment of what we are this year, as it's the first peer to peer comparison game...week 1 they blew out Norfolk; we were underwhelming but pulled away vs ETSU...idk how Norfolk compares to ETSU...week 2...App vs Clemson is apples to oranges...but they did beat ODU who gave South Carolina a close game. This game will give us a pretty good idea of what we are.

ESPN gives EZU a 57.3% chance of winning.

It is definitely a “get right” game for us. Much like last night was for Clemson.

Frankly, ECU scraped by a bad ODU team last night. The Pirates defensive front is good, but behind them is a mixed bag. Their pass protection has improved, but alas, Garcia threw 4 INT’s and posted a QBR under 30.

App needs to roll into Dowdy-Ficklen with a chip on the shoulder like Clemson had last night. THIS is the game that sets the tone for the season.

I don't bet, but I'd say we bounce back and we win convincingly

Maybe everyone this season will think that App has a bad team and not take us seriously until it is too late and we win convincingly.

Weather could be a factor.

If it's wet, it could be a Castle type of game.

Could be the defining game of the season. Perhaps someone’s tenure. No excuses.

This is a must win. ECU is not good.

The our goals are still ahead of us crew will technically be right if we lose but in our hearts we’ll all know the ship is sinking fast.

EC is a desperate team and fanbase. They haven't felt like winners in years, and they were very relevant in the top 25 for a good stretch. But that time is gone, and the fanbase has painfully realized that App has surpassed them.

Now they are 2-0, and that builds confidence. And their fans have been salivating for a chance to not only go 3-0, but a chance to beat App...they will be more fired up for this game than any other in a long time. If we give them hope early, it will be a long day.
