The slow starts under Clarck are absolutely killer. There have been WAY too many games where we have come in unprepared and somehow win in spite of pregame coaching issues and slow starts.

A dub is a dub.

Win the conference.

It was gritty, pumped with all the players out, you all can thank me later, for the ju ju comment, we turned it around after that, ha. Still not sure why ECU didn’t go long more but whatever, I’ll take the road W!!!

Props to coaches for making adjustments and for putting the right subs on the right spots. Def wasn't pretty but when you are down that many starters....it's def an accomplishment to win.
Don't forget the great coaching move of huddling on offense and slowing down the game. That took ECU's offense out of their tempo rhythm and also gave our defense more time to rest between series.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

So glad Tony made it to the game. I always appreciate hearing about a solid fan. I was just thinking of him as I knew he lived in Greenville after moving from Charlotte some years ago.

Not sure who the announcers were, never checked. So glad they weren't 100% ECU homes.
That was lessons learned I hope. 5 straight quarters of bad is not survivable again. For me or the team. Thank God for our guys getting it right.
On to South Alabama!

Might start seeing more of the old style huddle. Especially in big games in loud arenas. Huddle would help qb hear signals better.

Since moving up to FBS, 6-0 vs in-state CUSA/AAC teams.

Wasn’t pretty, and the start was a nightmare, but being down a lot of defensive production and still fighting back is true mountaineer football. Glad we’re coming home with the win

Played with grit today, especially the defense. A lot of folks out and they found a way to get it done.
Passing game in pretty good shape with Joey, we have some great receivers.

I am not sure exactly what is wrong with our running game but....
You can't run if the defense is in your backfield on every play. Other teams are getting way too much penetration. Not sure if we are tipping plays, too easy to predict, bad play calling or bad blocking but something needs fixing, NOW.

Celebrate, down go the Pirates!!!

I don't think we have lost against any in-state MWC, MAC of SB teams either since moving up to FBS.

That is a nice stat when it comes to recruiting in-state.

We’re undefeated against in-state SEC schools, too.

This may wind up being a bigger win than we think looking at AAC schedule and results thru week 3 so far.

One heck of a gutsy win, especially with all the missing defensive players.

Hope we can get healthy on defense soon.

Anyone watching…Gardner Webb whipping uncc and ETSU giving NDSU all they WANT, leading late in the 4th.

Got Clemson out of our system in Q1.
Way to not give up when 16-0.
With 2 questionable targeting calls taking two better defensive players out of game.
Joey needs to settle down... trying to live up to preseason awards...too many throws off back foot...with that said, he still piled up much yardage...
Ugly...but a win is a win!!
