Re: AP Week 1 poll
I'll take it. That 6-1 finish last season with Joey's growth left a good impression.

Boise State has an advantage starting at #28. Their schedule will be tough though. Decent chance Liberty will be ranked when we play them which will be great.

Re: AP Week 1 poll
I do wonder if Liberty will be ranked. That is a weak starting schedule before they play App. St.

Re: AP Week 1 poll
Their whole schedule is pretty weak outside of us. If they are undefeated coming into our game they could be just based on the fact the polls shake up a lot early on. As I have said on here before, we will know if we have a real playoff chance on September 28th. I am pulling for App and Liberty to both be undefeated and ranked for our game.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 12:56 pmI do wonder if Liberty will be ranked. Re: AP Week 1 poll
The fact we are the only Sun Belt team getting votes is some respect. There are many P4 schools that are not getting any votes.
Remember that the Coaches Poll had 4 SBC teams so some out there think it will be very tough. I would be curious to have seen how the SBC Poll would have come out if they had coaches vote on the league champ and not just division winners. As much as the East has been stronger the last few years it seems coaches and media believe the West might be slightly tougher overall but we will see.

Possible college gameday appearance?

We know GameDay likes to highlight non-P5 football.
We also know App State puts on a good show and knows how to win – whether it’s supposed to or not. (Just ask JMU fans.)

Re: AP Week 1 poll
If we are undefeated or have just a close loss to Clemson and Liberty is undefeated I could see them coming. It is too early to truly project because a lot can happen. There are a lot of games that weekend that could be alluring to College Game Day. If UNLV and Fresno State are undefeated could that be a location? Oklahoma State vs Kansas State or even Arizona vs Utah.AppWyo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 9:38 pmPossible college gameday appearance?

We know how fast college game day can change its mind as to where it is going to go. Luckly, ESPN loves Boone...AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:06 pmIf we are undefeated or have just a close loss to Clemson and Liberty is undefeated I could see them coming. Re: AP Week 1 poll
Our second team could win games in the Sunbelt. I am very bullish. We all know about Joey, WR ect. Kayne could have a huge season. Hopper, N Johnson, Favors, E Johnson are going to dominate. We are surprisingly deep on the DL and OL. This team could break in to the top 25 by season end. https://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-d ... tate/92913
