Why has it been so quiet on here about Spring Football?

Are we not allowed to have internal people "cover" Spring practices to give some updates? We used to have those daily recaps by Pierre Banks a few years ago during the fall. At the time some sounded a little hokey but I'd take it now. Other than those Facebook clips and short interviews we know nothing.

Practice is closed for the most part. Internally, Joey Jones and Brett Strelow are there but any information they can give out has to be approved by Clark. David Ware is there each day and covers it for 24/7. There are probably some donors that get in. I imagine that someone like Stonewall has been to a practice or two. Maybe even the scrimmage on Friday. But they aren’t going to share details at the risk of losing access.

Edit: I have no idea if Stonewall actually went. Just using him as an example. I know a few people that get in to watch though.

A few years ago we were up in Boone moving my son in. We parked up at the top of the hill and just watched for a few minutes until we got yelled at from way down on the field and had to leave. Top secret stuff!!

Haven’t made trips up except for basketball and a couple of events. Coaches are saying we are better athletically than we have been , faster , speed. Competition level is high . Depth chart still to be determined, beyond the obvious. Look for a surprise or two from new guys. Frankly about what you would anticipate.

History as shown that working on wrinkles in the Spring and Fall haven’t transferred to Gameday. LOL.

That's only half the play. RB is going to flip it the WR coming back on a reverse. We are going to be crazy like that in 2024...

I’ve heard that they are working on one where Castle takes the direct snap, flips it to himself and then he throws a 40 yard bomb to wait for it…. Castle.

We used to run a pretty effective play back in the day. Receiver runs to the man hole cover, does a head fake, left to the bush with the sticky leaves, cut right and go long. Works every time
