Not sure we have played a good enough team recently for a good measuring stick. And I hope they are distracted by CGD. But going with the head pick and hope I’m wrong.

If it was App that was undefeated and our waiver got denied....we would be out for blood. That's what I'm afraid is happening here.

I think the chip was always on the shoulder for JMU this year. They've been initially denied since the spring. I don't think anyone at the school or team had legitimate high hopes that the most recent attempt would succeed. Probably adds to the chip on the shoulder, but hopefully App State comes in with their own chip from last year's defeat, and knowing that a win keeps their championship hopes alive.

I was torn on the waiver decision. I wanted them to get it thinking they will be so happy they might take us for granted and it is a bad rule but we went through it and it helps us with a chance to win league if we beat them. I am going to hold my prediction to think about it some more but I am leaning on picking something similar to you.

100%. This is a big game for both teams. JMU needs to win with all eyes on them and we need a statement that we are not ready to just give up the mantle in the league completely. A win at JMU would also put Clark safe to return for 2024, IMO.

This ones tough. My head is wondering if we have progressed enough to win against a really good team, and my heart thinks we have turned the corner and will win this game. I think the team with the fewest mistakes and turnovers prevails. Will JMU be upset they didn't get their waiver? Hopefully with the game day distractions and playing mad we can come in with a workman like attitude, not get baited into retaliation, and take care of business. Cooler heads prevail and I'm going with my heart:

My main prediction is that this will be a shootout. Last drive for the win. Both teams will be 35+. This is the nut check game for this squad. Are we going to improve from our downward slide or are we going to continue our 6-6 skid.
