The way they worded it they sounded like they are claiming there were 28k at GameDay in the morning with Kirk, Des, Pat, etc. There is no way in heck that they had 28k fans show up there. Just look at that area. Do you think there were as many fans there as in the stands for the game? No way. They probably had about 10,000 show up.

I wasn’t there, but Bridgeforth can hold close to 25k officially. The number didn’t seem too off if the stands were actually packed.

Give the little schools with good programs more love. I’d love to see more game days at Sun Belt, AAC, MAC, and FCS schools.

They had a really good crowd. I just think they were inflating it because of the narrative they wanted to push. If they had a crystal ball and knew we would win I believe they would not have come to JMU. I know this was an epic game but the reality is they wanted to shine a light on JMU because they thought JMU was about to go undefeated in the Sun Belt and they had a huge story to push with them getting snubbed. ESPN has now quickly moved on because their narrative is gone. JMU was starting to annoy the media (outside of ESPN) and many schools with it so you are welcome CFB world.

If I'm not mistaken McAfee actually did some "pro" wrestling and commentating, so he knows how to play a shtick. It is annoying now for sure.
