Can we win 2 in a row. Maybe the ending against Southern Miss changes the momentum for us.

Marshall somehow stinks so we got a shot.

But Ali could also put up 300 yards on us

Ali will go for no less than gore did. Think another shootout is on the menu

I actually think we have a decent chance in this one, but it's only because Marshall isn't what they appeared to be earlier this season.

Marshall QB has a very weak arm. We need to stack to box to stop Ali and pressure Fancher. We will get burned I'm sure but I don't see us winning playing the bullshit defense set up of the last few weeks.

Marshall will blow us out (at least by 2 touchdowns). I stall have no faith in this team winning anymore games. Yes it's negative. No I don't care it's negative. It's a reality. Maybe we get lucky and a team or two overlooks us and we sneak a win out.....doubt it. Glad we won. Coaching did good with play calls at the end. Players still being careless with out of bounds, holding on to the ball, and the like. But some say a win is a win. 4-4 on the season. I do think we are now, "trap game" fodder for other teams. We used to worry about trap games and now we are the trap game.

Beach Chickens are smacking the Herd around tonight.

The chickens Qb looks like a McCall clone from far off. The field hurts my eyes on the TV screen

Isn't Mcall their QB?

It will take miracle change on D to not give up 50 to Marsh. I don’t have high hopes for any remaining games. But I guess Marsh is the best chance out of all of them.

Out on concussion protocol I think. Guest QB.
We can beat Marshall. The game will look just like every other we have played though

Our defense is terrible, we will have to "outscore" all remaining opponents in a shootout. Glad we were able to hang tough and pull out the win.

I have a problem the way our DBs are schemed to lineup in Ashe County to the north and Avery County in the south. Too much cushion allowing underneath all day and since Gardner Webb. Toasted over the top as well since ULM. We've regressed in October just like last year. Now the opponents, spread the field 52 wide and isolate the middle linebacker and RB gashes us for big chunks every single time. A 1-7 team had their best day offensively all year by halftime. We have made every RB we've faced a candidate for All-American Honors. Again, our scheming sucks. And if it is the best ideas we have for our personnel, then it's not going to get better.
Today it was mentioned that our offensive schemes have been the same since Coach Moore was here. Well, before long everybody is going to know your playbook and how to stop it. Our zone stretch run is slow in developing and opponents read that and pile bodies in the area and it's difficult to block more defenders than you have blockers. Our best successes today were on broken plays or counters or doing something we don't ALWAYS do.
I'd like to see more creativity instead of "doing what we do" without the ability.

We'll make Marshall look like a top 25

Unfortunately our offense does look very antiquated and predictable. Time for a refresh.

Marshall with 4 turnovers today against the teal redneck chickens, they won't have any against us.

Excuse me, 5 turnovers now

At least we do not have QB issues. That is one thing I have not worried about all year. I'll take Aguilar over Fancher or Pennington any day.
Looks like we'll have a battle of the dumpster fires next week. Not sure what is up with Marshall tonight is 4 L in a row for them.

Marshall will be the first team App has faced not coming off a bye or extended period to prep for us (or change their offense) since the Wyoming game.

Beat the turds.

I don't want Clark as our coach, but I have to have a win next week. I have to have it. Its Marshall

I don’t care about a bye … what I saw today was a team uninspired, not coached, flat and not prepared. There’s no one that wants Clark to succeed more than me but dang today was bad. This is the third game I’ve personally watched where there’s this little delay from the RB and the they hit this massive hole like the seas near Gibraltar and we’re no where near. DBs playing ten+ yards off of WR in a 3rd and 6 and they throw for 12 just don’t get it.

We moved them up on their second drive and hit them with corner and safety blitzes. Then, they started gashing us with the run and we were done with that

Maybe you can get a better angle on the RB as he gets to the third level of our Defense by starting 12-15 yards off the ball?
