I'm reminded of a comment my wife made last year as we were walking out after the crazy UNC game. She said "that was a good game". I said it was a terrible game but entertaining to watch. Yesterday was entertaining if nothing else. We might have some Big12 type games in the last month.

They may have this past week given their half a dozen turnovers but I look for them to bring it Saturday. If we can hang on to the ball we can out score them...I think. It is a rivalry game , anything can happen I suppose.PhillyApp1 wrote: โSun Oct 29, 2023 2:24 pmfingers crossed

A friend, that goes to all of the App games with me, and I have a saying about this team. " We always get our entertainment dollars worth". The game doesn't always go our way but they are never boring. ESPN needs to be playing this up. They could really build the SBC right now. The whole league is putting up great games.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: โSun Oct 29, 2023 4:34 pmI'm reminded of a comment my wife made last year as we were walking out after the crazy UNC game. It has been a long time in which I went to an App game and was sure of the outcome after the first half.

Re: Is it too early to move on to Marshall?
I used to kind of hate those games where we led by 3-4 scores at the half because I knew the second half would consist of nothing but up the gut runs, vanilla or play calls, not running up the score and lots of substitutions (great for those guys but boring). I'd take one of those App ass kickings now. While games are certainly not boring they are bad for the heart.spacemonkey wrote: โTue Oct 31, 2023 4:14 pmA friend, that goes to all of the App games with me, and I have a saying about this team. Re: Is it too early to move on to Marshall?
48 points and had 2 turnovers last week, think about that....
We need 12-15 possessions vs Marshall not the 10 we had at ODU. get off the field on 3rd down!!!!!!!

Run the score up, playing not to lose is playing to lose. 9/24/22 Dukes 3/Mountaineers 28, Final Score Dukes 32/Mountaineers 28. Most painful game ever watched at Kidd Brewer. I'm ready for a boring game also.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: โTue Oct 31, 2023 6:10 pmI used to kind of hate those games where we led by 3-4 scores at the half because I knew the second half would consist of nothing but up the gut runs, vanilla or play calls, not running up the score and lots of substitutions (great for those guys but boring). VMI in 1994 still takes the cake, but this is a close second.AppState80 wrote: โWed Nov 01, 2023 9:16 amRun the score up, playing not to lose is playing to lose. 9/24/22 Dukes 3/Mountaineers 28, Final Score Dukes 32/Mountaineers 28. Villanova hurt me personally as I grew up close to the university and bragged about App State football for years only to lose at home ...... Villanova football is JV in Philly.TheMoody1 wrote: โWed Nov 01, 2023 9:54 amFlorida A&M and Villanova werent much better.AppinVA wrote: โWed Nov 01, 2023 9:50 amVMI in 1994 still takes the cake, but this is a close second.AppState80 wrote: โWed Nov 01, 2023 9:16 amRun the score up, playing not to lose is playing to lose. 9/24/22 Dukes 3/Mountaineers 28, Final Score Dukes 32/Mountaineers 28.
