Re: Crow Dinner
I won't. I'll consume it one fork full at a time. I just hope we don't have to kick every coach out this quickly. Heck, the Tar Heel students hung Dean Smith in effigy after his first season or two. Just sayin'. I do believe Clark is on his last legs here, though and has had pretty much enough time to prove himself. Wouldn't be surprised it he landed on his feet somewhere else. He may not be head coaching material yet or at this level, but may fit in to a major program as an assistant. Just wishing him the best. After all, he was one of us.

I'm sure that losing a job at your alma mater stings and creates resentment for a bit, but if he is the man that we all know him to be, he'll accept that this wasn't his time and want the next coach to do what he couldn't do to see App State back on top.

I see you can read my signature. And where the hell did you get this idea? However I do wish I could get a seat for a big game for less than $200. Don't you?

The bird certainly isn’t edible just yet, but why don’t you get the oven preheated for me…

I'll take mine raw. I had thrown in the towel on Clark. I am happy with the adjustments and recent successes. Didn't think we would even make a bowl midway thru SoMiss. Now they have to win out and play in championship game. Tall task but more doable and believable than a few weeks ago.

Re: Crow Dinner
Not sure what else to call it, APP is a 2 score underdog. The line is now +9 from opening at +11.5. APP is getting some respect in the gambling world. Copied and pasted below APP is being an example of a Football upset in Wikipedia.
JMU has looked good all season, I think we've improved the last couple of weeks enough to have a chance.
In sports, an upset occurs when a team that is clearly favored loses to a team that they should have easily beaten, according to statistical evidence1. An underdog in sports betting is the team or individual deemed less likely to win the game2. The term "upset" is used to describe a result where an underdog has defeated a favorite and won a game outright2. Upsets can occur in electoral politics as well as sports, when the party popularly expected to win is defeated by an underdog3.

Re: Crow Dinner
App did not fare well in Bridgeforth 2008, the last time we played there. The lop-sidedness throws off our players' equilibrium or something
. Historically I believe we've only lost there twice, I like our chances.

Working '82 his last year, my first year at APPNewApp wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 3:28 pmBut brought us Sparky Wood who brought us John Settle. Net win,OldAppPlayer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 7:02 pmMack Brown- one season 6-5 and bolted without even having a team meeting before he left. No thanks.
I've always given credit to Brown '83 for bringing in Settle and some other good players that laid the foundation for where we are today. Not to Brown for the foundation, but the players. His recruits set Woods up for success.
Woods '84
Settle was headed to Duke, but they fired Red Wilson and Brown got him, just verified it with ViewCrew87 - he had classes with Settle, and saw him carrying the football around campus when he fumbled once.
Anthony Downs anchor of the D line was a recruit too

Re: Crow Dinner
This is the start of the run for our program in my opinion. Browns '83 recruits won the SoCon '86 and '87
